Thank you @Drawingaline, the work one is for local theatre trips which is better for me. As much as I’d love to go to a West End show it’s not really feasible.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Morning happy Saturday 🥂Prosecco is in the fridge already! Will shortly be doing my usual live ClubFit class followed by a trip to the big Mr T.As I’m now on official holiday countdown and would like to lose a few pounds before I go, I thought I’d better weigh myself so I can track progress. Can you believe the battery has run out on my scales and can I undo the microscopic screws holding it in - nope 🙁 I’ve got a tiny screwdriver set from a Christmas cracker years ago and even they’re not touching it. Isn’t that just typical. I’m thinking about picking up some new ones while I’m at the shops this morning first making sure the battery is accessible.
Looking forward to seeing the GKs today. Starting to bring their presents down from upstairs - there are loads from DD. Not seen them since the beginning of December.I need to give the bathroom a good clean this morning then will clean the spare room later.
Tonight’s dinner is beetroot burger, wedges and salad - oh and Prosecco of course 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Enjoy your belated Christmas!

Well they’ve been and gone in a flurry of wrapping paper 🤣 They’re all happy with their presents. I’m happy with my wine and smellies and Mr SA is happy with his beer and chocolates. The cats have now come out of hiding and Mr SA has gone for a nap.I bought some new bathroom scales from Mr T, on offer at £12.50, checked first the battery was easily accessed. Mr SA and the dog came with me so the dog had a good walk.I bumped into an elderly neighbour who lost her little dog over a year ago and has been looking for another one ever since. She told me her good news she’s finally getting a rescue dog next week, JRT/chihuahua cross, 4 years old. She was so happy, she’s been lost without a companion as she lives alone. Really pleased for her.Just relaxing now, reading my book and listening to Rylan on the radio. Will have a bath shortly then it’s an evening relaxing in front of the TV after dinner, so that’s me asleep for about 8.30 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

The theatre group sounds just what you need. I know you’ve mentioned many times you’d like to go to a show 🤞 hope it works out for you 👍

Forgot to say I’m really pleased with the cards I ordered from Whistlefish. The quality is top notch. I went through TCB then found a 20% off code so paid 66p per card. They took a while to arrive but definitely worth it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Worth a look then, thanks - I find cards one if the hardest things to buy online. The sizes are odd, or the card is too thin etc, and I don't like crass humour. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
