It'll be a big help to you both if those meds work. Finally you know what is causing it. I did wonder how Mr SA would cope without his pile of toast if it turned out to be coeliac.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
Yes I was dreading that outcome so it was a relief to find out it wasn’t, he loves his bread.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪4 -
Morning all, having a nice relaxing start to the morning. DD has gone to work and Mr SA and the dog are still in bed. Bliss.
I need to have another productive weekend. First on the list is drop off a bag of donations at the charity shop, call in to the carpet shop to get the ball rolling for a replacement, then go to the big Mr T.
Other jobs are patch up the paint around the new ceiling lights as they’re slightly smaller than the old ones, clean the whole house, clean the windows (rolled over from last week), plant the winter pansies, plant the sweet pea seeds, tidy the greenhouse, move the geraniums to the greenhouse. I’ll be happy if I manage to get that lot off my list. Weather wise today looks a better day for the garden tasks.
I’m so looking forward to getting an extra two days to do everything in. The past few weeks have been so busy with all the appointments I’ve struggled to fit everything in and work as well. Everything is calmer from next week and I only have a nail appointment on Thursday and lunch out with friends on Friday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪6 -

Monday to Wednesday with Thursdays and Fridays off. Then I get a 4 day break plus I’m covering the busiest days at work so it works well all round. It’s not official yet but will be next week. To finish completely I have to give 4 months notice.

Called into the carpet shop and he was shocked we needed a new carpet already but understood the situation and is coming round either tonight when he shuts up shop or tomorrow morning (he only lives next door but one). He’s also going to look at replacing the flooring in the entrance hall where the old cat keeps peeing in the corner (although she hasn’t done so for a few days now). He thinks vinyl with a silicone seal would be the best option. He was telling me a fox has set up home in his covered outdoor area and is sleeping on the cushions 😆
Because I can never put my feet up on the sofa at night due to having a dog on one side and cat on the other, I’ve ordered a large footstool, that more or less matches the sofa, from Dun£lm. The sofa was originally from DFS. I got 10% off by downloading and buying through their app. It was already reduced by 20% so a good deal. I’ll be able to put my feet up on this so that’s me asleep the minute I sit down 😆Mr SA thinks the old cat will probably commandeer it.

Love a footstool, and Mr SA is absolutely correct, so will the cat 😁
