Afternoon all.
What a lovely gesture from @Dakota_Rose
Worked in the office this morning, WFH this afternoon. I was not feeling the love for pounding the pavements in the dark this morning.
We were supposed to be having our flu jabs this lunchtime but have rescheduled them for next week as there's enough going on this week.
The new 4 week budget period starts today so have closed off the last one. There was a £60.03 underspend in the food/alcohol budget so £60 has gone to the vet pot and £0.03 to the Christmas pot. Across the other 3 spending pots (Mr SA/Entertainment/House) there was a combined underspend of £140.07 so £140 to the vet pot and £0.07 to the Christmas pot. I took off the vet spends from last week from the amount destined for the vet pot so that took it down to £80 to the vet pot. Logged into the sinking funds account and had a nice surprise of £35.83 interest so another £30 went to the vet pot and £5.83 to the Christmas pot. So I managed to completely cover the vet spends with the underspends which is good news.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home for a few bits. They had quite a few decent fruit/veg boxes but resisted temptation as I've got quite a lot already at home that needs using up without adding extra.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm doing FitOn strength training and yoga sessions later.
Tonight's cleaning task is the bedroom. I think I might put the winter duvet on now it's getting colder.
Tonight's dinner is tofu stir fry.
Another busy week ahead:
- Tuesday - meeting my book swap friend for lunch
- Thursday - stairs and landing carpet being cleaned, Pension Wise call, Mr SA's appointment with the Gastroenterologist.
- Friday - bathroom lights being replaced, hairdressers, NW regular saver matures

Was thinking the same about the underspends. DH has just had his flu jab free on nhs but I will have to pay. Tho nowhere seems to be offering them at the moment. Will leave it a week or two and then start asking around. See if I can get any offers, last time I got it through one of the shops that did it for £9, if u downloaded their app.

Our local chemist does the private flu jabs, but not the covid ones.

That’s where I got the bauble from. DD already has a few things from there.

Evening all.
Just managed to finally sit down and put my feet up.
Worked in the office until lunchtime then went to meet my book swapping friend for lunch. We had a lovely chat and before we knew it almost 3 hours had passed!
I bought a 24 hour bus ticket to go home which will still be valid for journeys to and from work tomorrow.
Got off the bus at the big Mr T and got Mr SA to meet me there as the alcohol free beer he likes is on a good offer there. There were only 2 packs left so I nabbed them both.
Today’s exercise has been walking to work and walking back from Mr T 18,525 steps so not too shabby.
Shattered again tonight. All this socialising, vet appointments etc are wearing me out 😆 Looking forward to a week free of events but that won’t be until the end of the month.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪4
