Hope all goes well with the doctor's appointment - remember they may be keeping an eye open for your well-being too so perhaps flag up that it's stressful.
Reading other comments, I'm guessing Mr SA's balance may be compromised so he doesn't get down to cleaning up level? You've clearly put things like the wooden floors in place to make it as straightforward as possible, but I wonder whether there's anything that could be made available through the GP (like disposable kylies), or would he just throw them aside?
The dress sound lovely, it's like another step towards your holidays and there are some really pretty clothes around at the moment, so enjoy! You might even get some sunny enough weather to wear it in the UK.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Back from the doctors and unbelievably his blood results have come back really good apart from liver function. He’s dehydrated and has been told to drink more water and less beer. I mentioned the incontinence and the doctor didn’t seem that interested. She was more concerned with him drinking more water. He’s to go back in 4 weeks to see if his liver function has improved. She seems to think more water will help with the incontinence. To be honest his consultant just says it’s the brain damage and there’s not a lot can be done. He was prescribed tablets for the bowel incontinence but then they refused further supplies as you can buy them from Amazon for next to nothing. It’s all about cost to them. He had forgotten to take his tablet the other day when he had the accident.Anyway we’ll see how the more water/less beer approach works.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I wonder how the less beer will go down with him. Were the tablets the well known branded version of loperamide? If so (as with paracetamol & other non-prescription drugs), there are generic versions available which cost a lot less - i e Co-op have an own branded one & probably other supermarkets. Cheapest used to be from 'S*vers' but I haven't been in there for a while, so don't know if this is still the case.
Re beer, I wonder if it can irritate the bladder lining in a similar way to lots of coffee? Idk, just speculating really

Will be interesting for you to see how the more water/less beer switch goes.Like others I am so full of admiration for you. It isn't fair of Mr SA to refuse continence products but not clear up after himself.
what does your DD think? As she lives at home she sees how hard it is for you. Would Mr SA take notice if your son spoke to him?3 -
I read your diary every day and I am totally in awe of you. I seriously don't know how you do it. Obviously the brain damage is a big factor in his problems but I so wish that there was someone, something that could help you out and give you a break from all of this. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

Sorry you didn’t get more help at the GPs although if it’s the brain injury I’m not sure what they could do.January spends - £587.582
