Boiler only lasting 8 years total BS.  You must be using homeserve or the like.  Some of these boiler "engineers" get bonuses for talking people into new boilers.

    I know, it's ridiculous.

Nope, it's a local independent company.  To be fair to them, I googled the boiler when we moved in here, and it's got horrendous reviews.  It's not one of the brands I'd recognise.  I think we've maybe been an outlier.  But, whilst it's still working well, I'd like to keep it going, so I'll wait for their quote, then I'll get a second opinion.

Working today :(  Feeling rubbish too, but I'll survive.  Better take a mask with me as I'm still coughing.  It's an outdoor event so at least the weather is due to be nice.

I took the plunge last night, and joined SW online.  It's a risky move as I'm not sure my head is in the right place, but I need to keep trying.  I was going to join a group, but there aren't really any that are suitable.  I don't want to weigh and go, as I can do that at home without paying for the privilege.  I think I need the group support to keep me going.  So I'm going to give online a 3 month try, and make use of all the videos and podcasts to try and up my motivation.  If I haven't made any decent progress in 3 months then I will have to try one of the groups that are potentially doable but in an inconvenient location.

I'm lacking in motivation but that seems to be more my general mood rather than anything else, as I have limited motivation for anything at the moment.  Hopefully forcing myself to do something will help and if I can get some of the weight off, then it might make life generally a bit easier.  The good news is that whilst it's not completely gone, my knee pain has significantly improved and not causing as many problems as it was before.  That helps a lot!

Have a good day everyone :)

I had great success with SW on line one time, but the second time I couldn’t get into it at all. I actually gave in after a few weeks and closed the account and they refunded some money…so you can get some back if it’s not working. I am having a lot better luck with nutra check as you still log your food and have a forum, but it’s calorie counting (and much cheaper), however it is really slow. That could be my age though. I’ve never been a fast loser and most weeks I’ve been losing between half a pound and a pound. I started at Christmas and will be lucky to get to my target by September 😢 I’m glad your knee has improved and hope you survive today 🌟🌟

I’m a WW gold member, got to goal 21 years ago and have maintained ever since. I found going to face to face classes the most motivating and made quite a few friends there. Since Covid it’s all been virtual which is great but not quite the same. I miss the proper classes. Good luck anyway 🤞
