Today we are going to see the Earth! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-44888354
Apart from that more pottering planned. We had to buy a new rotary washing line as ours had broken. DH is concreting that in today, and hopefully it won't take too long to dry. It's nice so at least I can get the washing out on the airer in the meantime.
We salvaged the old tyre to use as a planter. Our existing rockery washes away in the rain as there's nothing holding it there. Hopefully the tyre will give it some structure to stop the soil washing away and we've got some old stone cladding to build up around it to hopefully make it look ok. I've got some wildflower seeds too so will plant those to hopefully have a mini-meadow
Yesterday's small acts to improve the house:- Baking and soup making to use up some store cupboard ingredients which probably won't be replaced
- Tackling a chair dumping ground and putting everything away
- Gathering up magazines from various places into one pile to look through and get rid of
- Booking the boiler service

Do not touch that peanut butter. It is like marmite, you either love it or hate it. I first tried marmite in my 30s & peanut butter in my 50s. Favourite snack of the day - peanut butter & marmite butties. Do not do it.

Little miss on the other hand adores it, and so did little jwil when he was young, though he doesn't eat it any more. None of us have tried peanut butter though

The Earth was fab, it's so nice to see that sort of thing.
Popped into Morrisons, and they had a load of reduced plants. I bought a Honeysuckle for 24p! It had a fair amount of green on it, though it's only a small plant, so I thought it was worth giving it a shot at that price. Unfortunately Morrisons were also still selling bakery hot cross buns so I succumbed 🤦♀️ I don't go in there that often though, so it should be my last pack! I don't like the packaged ones that you can get most of the year round, so that's good news.
Today's small things:- Planted the honeysuckle and some other plants I bought the other day as well as one I was given.
- Did a bit of weeding.
- Discovered a buried paving slab that will help complete a home made step
- Tonight I will start looking through the magazines I gathered up yesterday.

Well done on the PADs.
My ankles are letting me know they noticed the walk - but hey - maybe one day we can exercise without pain and then we'll know we 'made it.'Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I love a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter, but I don’t enjoy it in a sandwich, it’s just too claggy. I do really love those peanut biscuits though, they are oddly dry, but really tasty. Have you tried those?Sorry about your knee. Have you tried a knee brace/bandage/sock thingy to hold it together and take the pressure off a bit when you are walking a lot?Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
