I can sympathise with footwear. I have constant problems as I am very limited in the style I can wear and because I walk on the side of one foot they dont last very long at all as the hel and the side of the shoe wears down quickly and this this knocks my balance even more than usual. My latest pair is almost unwearable after about 6 weeks and I am struggling to find more.
    This is me.
My record is about 3 weeks  :(
    That's a nightmare :(

HI Jwil - that's a shame re the dentist. I too have Denplan.

    Well done on the PADs.
Thank you.  I'll have to have a look at Denplan and compare it to paying outright (or whatever it is on the leaflets they gave me yesterday).  I don't really want yet another monthly payment coming out, I'd rather just pay as and when if I can.

Just to say it's worth checking if either of you have access to reduced heath care and/or dental type plans through work. Some companies offer a reduction on certain schemes as part of there staff benefits.

Love that your budget is calmer now despite inflation
Thank you.  It is still a novelty for me!

Fingers crossed that the headache has settled a bit now. (And thank you for mentioning dehydration - I've just had another couple of swigs from my water bottle!)

I can really sympathise with hills making knee issues worse - I had to acknowledge some time ago that I can't do hill repeats for running fitness as I just end up in agony for days after. It's annoying.

That's a pain about the dentist - and especially that it now means you will have to pay for the children's visits to, as others have said, that really doesn't sound right, does it!
Thank you, it's gone today, and did ease off thankfully!
The knee thing is a real pain (literally!) isn't it.

Sorry to hear that, hope it's improved now.

Good thinking, I'll have a look - thank you!

I've had a play with chat gpt as part of a survey.  It actually looks quite fun!  I asked it some work questions and got some interesting responses.  It's a bit like wikipedia, a good starting point, but make sure you verify the answers.

My PAD today is a very small sale and a very small lottery win.  It would be nice if both (particularly the second one!) could be much bigger in future :D

I'm so tired and achey again today.  I think I'm going to start reading up on the menopause/perimenopause as I'm starting to notice a pattern relating to TOTM.  I am woefully uneducated about it, and wonder if various things I tend to dismiss could be related.

Have a good day everyone :)

There is only one big problem with HRT.  Eventually they MAKE you come off it.  Note the capitals, I mean them.  Yes I am shouting because it has not just made me cross it has made me in pain.

Thank you.  I definitely need to read up on it.  I'm sure my monthly mood swings are getting a lot worse as a starter.

I'm a bit unsure about HRT, doesn't it just put off the inevitable? i.e. just kicks the can down the road for when you do have to come off them.   I'm sure my tune would change if things were really bad though, and this is why I need to educate myself.

I'm sorry you are both struggling.

Thank goodness it's the end of the week (for me!).  At the moment I feel like doing nothing tomorrow.  Hopefully I'll get some energy tomorrow.

My new trainers have arrived, lets hope they make a difference.

Little jwil is off for a sleepover tomorrow.  This is only the second night he's ever been away from home without us.  Definitely harder on me than him :D:D   He's then got another party on Sunday, and it's his birthday next week, with his own outing next weekend.  How did he suddenly get to 10??
