I have a work friend who was on diabetes meds and completely reversed it with diet and exercise and is now med free…so it is possible..and you aren’t even there yet, so you don’t have as far to go. Sometimes the shock is enough to spur us on! I am a big chocolate fan so calorie count instead of ruling it out completely. I do find wraps work a lot better for me than bread, I honestly think it’s the yeast in bread that causes me issues. I’m still going up and down the same pound so I’m not the best person to listen to 🤭 but I have noticed on the days I can’t fit my steps in I tend to go back up, so I agree that walking will definitely help. You can reverse that number and I’m sure you will ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

It would be nice if I could get out of it again. I don't want to go on meds for that either!
I have been suspicious that the chocolate isn't helping the way I've been feeling, so I'd already planned to cut it out. I don't have a functional relationship with it, so it's better I don't have it in the house at least in the short term. I'll keep it under review though. I'm not a great fan of wraps but do have some in the freezer. White bread I like but it doesn't love me. Toast is so convenient for breakfasts though, and I'm generally happy with wholegrain though will try and reduce bread generally. I can take or leave sandwiches so that's easy enough.
I'm also the last person to give weight loss advice, but generally, I feel that those of us who struggle with our weight are often well read on the issue, and understand that it's not always easy. Sometimes the issue is not solely what we are eating or how much we exercise, but other issues that impact on our ability to do that or keep it up.
I do need to get off my rear though and get moving!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7 -
Happy Thursday
It's nice doing a short week this week. Payday tomorrow as well at long last. I should get paid for the election this month as well.
The kids have asked to go out tomorrow, so I'm sure we'll be doing something, not sure what yet.

My sister was diabetic and used to have one really good quality chocolate per day. She was not on any meds and managed really well. I am not sure how you only have one chocolate at a time but she was a ;ot more strong willed than me.Hopefully the dietry changes and a little more walking will help. In the meantime try not to worry too much. Easy to say I know, much harder to do but reporting your food and exercise on here may help.3

Sorry to hear about the recent test results. However, it is early days and you can improve your BS
A savoury breakfast is best. Is that something you might do?
Is your chocolate 70% or above?
You were walking after your main meal. Are you doing that still? If not could you reintroduce it?
You've been under a lot of stress recently and that also elevates BS so be kind to yourself xIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I admire people that can have one chocolate. Reporting on here might be good.

I will consider a savoury breakfast, I had soup yesterday! I want stuff that's quick and easy.
My chocolate is just cadburys. I'm better off just giving it up. The 70% + stuff, just isn't the same so doesn't help the cravings for me. I know it works for others though and I might consider it later.
I've done very little walking lately, definitely want to get back to that.
I hadn't really considered stress impacts, so thank you"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Happy Friday and Payday! I've done the money shuffle and put £200 in PBs from my election money. I also sent over £25 the other day as my save the change account hit that, so I thought it could try and win me something.
Booked little miss's school lunches up til Oct half term so at least I know that's done.
It's a lovely day here. I wanted to go to the beach, but the kids wanted to go swimming, and maybe do the beach at the weekend, so we've been out this morning. I'm planning on chilling in the sun this afternoon.
When we were at swimming, a lady came up to me and said that my children were lovely and a credit to me 😍 That was a very lovely thing to hear, she clearly doesn't know themIt was a proud moment for me though. Apparently she's seen us there on one of the other occasions we've been there this summer as well.
