Happy September everyone
Much as it's nice not having to do the school run, it will be nice to get back to a routine and for me to stop feeling guilty that the kids aren't doing anything while I'm working. They go back on Wednesday so they've got another couple of days of leisure yet.
The weather is definitely autumnal but also very mild and humid at the same time.
We finally made it to the beach at the weekendOne that we've never been to with the kids, it was very nice. We also went to a large shopping area which has a lot of rides for children, so they enjoyed that.
I've had a very spendy week or so as lots of my clothing seems to have started falling apart at the same time, plus I need a smart top for a work event in October. I've ordered some new period underwear and two pairs of trousers, and then via the V app, I've ordered a couple of tops and some skecher trainers. Overall that was around £200 I think, so not bad for a significant wardrobe replacement!
I also ordered a first period kit for little miss with reusable underwear, as she's asking a lot of questions at the moment. Hopefully we won't need it for a while, but it will be good to have something in place. That plus my underwear was around half of the bill, so even better for the rest!
Two birthdays this week, so they have also been sorted.
Now that schools are heading back I'm starting to think towards little miss's birthday in November and Christmas, as I like to spread it over a couple of months, and get everything done before December."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
