beanielou said:Glad that you have done that jwil.missymoo81 said:Bless you @jwil I hope the Dr can help. I find I’m super anxious when I’m off work. Worrying about what I’ve not done and if ill be in trouble and what changes have been made whilst I’m away. So I completely get your worries. All of mine were unfounded though, and my anxiety started to die away when I had been back at work a few days. You have so much going on with your job and changes you’re bound to feel anxious. Look after yourself x
I can't pin down any specific worries, so it must just be the whole situation. I made a huge effort to clear my to do list before I went, so I wouldn't have anything outstanding. I'm sure the back to work dread will kick in over the weekend - but it will be fine when I'm back. The anxiety is ever present though, and it's affecting my life now so hopefully they can help. I figure that even if I find my job is safe, there will still be the transition, and getting used to new ways of working, and if I'm not safe, then I'll be stressed until I find something else, so it's time to see if I can get some help.

Happy Friday! I'm not sure if we are doing anything yet. The kids don't seem very enthusiastic. Hopefully I'll hear from the GP today, but I'm not really expecting anything until next week.
I've just reconfirmed my tax free childcare accounts but also withdrawn my cash from them. I'm not sure I'll be using them any more. Little jwil is old enough to come home himself, and little miss is going to go to a relative for 2 days, which is very kind of them, so I won't be using the afterschool club except on an ad-hoc basis. In that sense, it's just easier to book a session online and then pay for it, rather than having to mess around with invoicing. The time spent faffing would outweigh any financial saving.

Well I can't fault my GP surgery. I know loads of people struggle so I'm very lucky with my surgery who always seem to be well organised.
I put the online consult on last night, and I had a phone call before 9 this morning, offering me an appointment an hour later. I saw the GP, not 'mine' but very nice, and he wanted to get some bloods and other tests done, and arranged for them all to be done whilst I waited rather than making an appointment to come back another day. He was very reassuring and said he will call to make a plan for next steps when the results come back next week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
