I slept much better last night, so feeling better today thankfully
It's due to be hot today, so I thought I'd take the kids bowling rather than being out and about. It will hopefully be airconditioned! I shall probably start putting my bookcases back as well and tidying up now that I've made the decision not to paint yet. I might save up and get someone in to do it at some point, as my painting skills aren't great anyway. But hopefully a little more decluttering first."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Glad you feel better and making a decision will help too on the mental wellbeing side x2

Great news the electrics are done. I have the free version of Duo and don’t mind the ads as Amazon Shopper Panel pays me for watching them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It does help as otherwise I spend a lot of time thinking about what I 'should' be doing.

We had a nice if not a bit spendy day today. Bowling of course, then I gave them some money to pay in the arcades, and then to McDs for lunch. So much for healthy eating, though I do have a side salad as I don't eat chips. Salad for tea tonight too, so not as bad as it could be.
I've also moved my bookcases back, and also brought another one down from upstairs, so things are starting to get back together now, and the extra bookcase will mean that I can spread them out a bit more without so much double stacking.
I've done some surveys, I always forget when I am off work and out of my routine, so I'm pleased I remembered!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
This morning we've been doing a trawl of local parks. One had an outdoor gym, so I did a little workout when the kids were playing.
I feel so much better just a few days in, living slowly, not rushing around everywhere, and no work stress. It spurs me on for my retirement plans, but I'll need to try and see what new habits I can create to take forward in the meantime as financially I need to stick with what I'm doing for now (or will need to find something similar if I don't survive the cull).
This afternoon I plan on pottering around and chilling."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
