Swimming was good this morning, there was someone there from each of the kid's classes, so they went off playing, and I got plenty of time to swim by myself!
This afternoon I am going to sit with a book. I should really be putting some of the furniture back, including my bookcases, but I'm considering painting the wall, so I shall ponder a bit longer, and just sit and read instead"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Another lazy day today which has been nice. I've been reading a book written by a psychiatrist, and could 'see' myself in several chapters, particularly relating to my struggles with health anxiety and comfort eating etc. I have a CBT book which is very helpful when I have health anxiety, and I have a feeling I've got one on my kindle about eating, so I should really look and read it, and see if I can get any benefit from it.
I've had a look and updated my pension stuff, and it's nice to see it increase a bit each month so my plans are still to go at 55 assuming I survive the cuts! I can't get my pension til at least 57 so would need either savings or to work part time to cover the gap. I'd probably look for a small part time job anyway to transition and have a bit of extra cash until state pension anyway. I could get away with about 10 hours per week.
DH repaid me his half of the electrician bill, so I've put £500 back into PBs and kept the rest for now to cover school uniforms and any outings we do over the next couple of weeks. Anything left after that will go to my pad account."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I didn't sleep well last night so feel a bit grotty today. Not much planned again. I've decided I'll go along with DH and have a mooch around the car boot sale, more to stretch my legs than actually needing anything.
DH sold some stuff yesterday so I've got 5 parcels to pack and he can post them. All stuff leaving the house"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
Good result on the decluttering and the income it will generate.
Hope you feel less grotty soon.
Hopefully a stroll in the afresh air would have helpedIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I didn't buy anything at the car boot, but on the way home we stopped at a supermarket to get something easy as I didn't feel like cooking, and I spent more than planned. I did buy a lovely little jug with fake sunflowers in it which was reduced to less than £2. It's very cheery and I'll need to find somewhere nice for it.
Another lazy afternoon reading which is always nice. I have been contemplating the wall that I am considering painting, and am almost at the decision that I will put everything back for a while. The ceiling in particular is marked and will probably need several coats, and I don't want to spend my whole time off feeling like I need to be getting on with it. I have other things I'd much rather be doing. There are also a lot of stacks of DH's stuff and I don't want to be shuffling it all around. I've convinced myself now
I've done 9 listings for DH and so hopefully they will sell."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
