I'm pretty sure you can change to a meter and try it out for a year and then change your mind if you are worse off. Call the water co and ask V x

£89 a month for water 😱 How can that be justified! We use a fair bit of water which is why we don’t have a meter but we only pay £45 a month.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It's horrendous isn't it. DH has always been reluctant to switch, as he washes his cars at home. However, he doesn't do that very often so it's hardly a big deal. I've always wanted to switch but been a bit nervous about the condition of our plumbing. However, we could probably cover repair bills now, so it's time to give it a go!

Mr LH wont change to meter as we have a pond in the garden which nneeds cleaning at least once a year plus top ups when its hot and therefore uses a lot of water but I m not so sure as otherwise we are pretty low users. I cant find out how much our company charges for metered so we can do the maths.

After yesterday's lazy day I'm on a mission today. I've got a joint in the oven and prepped all the veg for a Sunday lunch.
Wrapped a gift for a relative which I'll drop off later, and packed an ebay parcel for posting. There's a load of listings prepped so I'll try and get some on later.
This morning I am getting back to the painting. I'll spend a couple of hours doing that and hopefully make some progress! It would be nice just to get these rooms done once and for all!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi Jwil, name the company and I am sure you will find other readers who can tell you what they pay? I'm in Bournemouth, so possibly not close enough? V x
