I've got up in a foul mood this morning. Every time I think I've got a bit of a break, something else goes wrong. It's nothing major, and a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things, but it's always the case. I might put my status on busy and try not to speak to anyone today
I will try not to let it derail my healthy eating plans.
I must also find some time to do some surveys today if I can. Maybe at lunchtime. There's a well-paid one in PA which has been showing for ages and I haven't got round to it, as it's quite a time commitment. I haven't cashed out at all on there all month as I've barely done any of the surveys.
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Oh so sorry about your foul mood. It only takes a minor inconvenience for me if I’m feeling that way out 😬 I agree that pay day is still a long way off and it’s felt like such a long and spendy month. At least the NI reduction will make a very small addition this month.Good luck with the healthy eating. I am on day 2 of following a mapped out food diary…it feels like a week already 😣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I started off well yesterday, but then drowned in a sea of chocolate instead of eating a meal 🤦♀️"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

I didn't get to surveys yesterday so might try again today. I did make good progress with one piece of work though so that was good.
I've got to do the school run this afternoon so my day is broken up (the source of my irritation yesterday, but one of those things that can't be helped) and I need to reschedule a meeting as a result, but it really is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things. I worked til 7pm last night to make sure I had my hours in.
Endless battles with little jwil at the moment. I'm not sure if it's teenage hormones starting to kick in, or whether just stress generally as he has his SATs in a couple of weeks. He says he's not bothered about them, but doesn't feel that he should be doing any revision as his scores are enough to pass. I'm asking him to do a grand total of 10 minutes per day! His maths is spot on, but he struggles more with his English, so just short practices of that. Secondary school will be a big shock to his system if he doesn't get used to homework."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Good news re the mole on your arm.
Probably SATs stress for the little oneIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Don't worry too much about SATs. High school will test him when he gets there and band him accordingly. SATs are more a reflection on the performance of the school. Mine wrote "7" for most of the answers on his maths test and we still didn't get any of the help that he needed. We're still working on that with the help of his university disability team. Little jwil pobably has the right attitude as being too stressed could affect his performance.
I just remembered that the thing that mine enjoyed most about SATS was that school put on a free breakfast for SATs days 🤣🤣🤣3 -
It’s often the case that boys are maths naturals and girls are English naturals isn’t it. I wasn’t a natural at anything 🤭 which just shows that you don’t really need skills, just bloody mindedness and a refusal to give in. My sister was a real brain box (still is), yet earning wasn’t high on her agenda and she was very happy coasting at a supermarket until she married. I don’t think schooling really seals anyone’s fate, it just helps a bit. Little jwils not bothered attitude might help him coast happily through life ✨Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
