Love the sound of your lunch
I've been using the NHS weight loss app and calorie counting for the past 4 weeks. It's been eye opening. All these salads I was having with things like halloumi and olive oil on top, so many calories!3 -
Thank you. It's so nice to see when they suddenly manage to get something they've been struggling with.doingitanyway said:I love it when little ones have a breakthrough

I've got the NHS app but I find calorie counting such a faff. I have done it before but never stick to it and it makes me lean more towards processed foods so I don't have to weigh and measure. I don't tend to add oils or dressings to my salads, so I'm fairly confident with them, but agree it can soon add up (and butter on hot cross buns will be an issue for me)! I'm definitely not going to calorie count whilst easter eggs are still a part of my liferemote_control said:Love the sound of your lunch

If I don't get on with this, then I'll probably have to give it a go again. I hope it's going well for you though

It's never worked well in the past and I totally agree that I've tended to buy processed food. I don't know why it's working this time! I've set myself a target of 1500 a day and it seems to be working. I think it's because I feel like I'm being 'sensible' with my eating rather than dieting. I didn't write the calories for Sun and Mon though!! Waaaay too much chocolate!!3

I do remember from the last time I did it that my huge bowl of berries and yoghurt was less than 300 calories so well worth having for breakfast. Maybe I ought to just work out the rough calories for the foods I eat regularly so I don't have to do it all at once. I'm definitely trying to be sensible rather than diet as well. I want to make permanent changes to my lifestyle. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Back to work today
But only today and tomorrow and then I'm off for next week
It's also blooming marvellous not having to do the school run, I'll be able to finish at a decent time!
I didn't get lucky on PBs
DH bought hot dogs for tonight. It doesn't really fit in with my plans, but at least it's quick so I won't have to faff too much after work. I'll bump mine up with salad or veg anyway. I'm trying to not make a big deal out of it, and just get to a stage where things are balanced.
My thinking at the moment:
Breakfast - berries, yoghurt and hot cross bun (hot cross buns will be finished tomorrow)
Lunch - probably the tomato and mozzarella salad that I didn't have the other day as I expect the mozzarella needs using up. Chocolate likely here. Once I use up what's here, I might well try and give up chocolate for a while, but that's a while away yet
🙄
Dinner - hot dog with salad/veg.
I've got to do my shopping order today so need to develop a rough plan for the next week.
Have a good day everyone."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
The kids sold a couple of things, so those have been packed and posted.
I want to try and fit in a bit of exercise today as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4
