Well done for being restrained! You could always sneak out and try and get some half price ones today

Happy April!
It's quite nice out there at the moment, though I don't think it's meant to stay that way. The kids don't want to do anything, so it will be a quiet day today pottering around. DH is working. I might try and go out into the garden for a bit. I bought one of those patio weed brushes the other day so will give that a go to see if it makes life easier.
We sold some items yesterday so I've packed those for posting.
The kids have done their thank you's for easter stuff.
I weighed myself this morning to get back into the healthy eating. We do still have easter stuff and stuff to use up otherwise so it won't be perfect but I can gradually get into it.
Plan at the moment is:
Breakfast - strawberries, blueberries, greek yog, with hot cross bun
Lunch - Tomato and Mozzarella salad, with lettuce and cucumber
Dinner - Gammon steak with egg, mushrooms, onion, tomato. Maybe some pickled veg as well.
There will be chocolate as well, but I'll be going back to my 1hr eating windows so it will be alongside a meal rather than between it.
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
I love the beach photos.
Yes, you do make the best of your NT membership.
Feel free to ignore me and bear in mind I eat a lotbut your food doesn't seem enough. Could you add a jacket sweet potato or another complex carb to your lunch maybe?

Glad you had a good break and got to see the sea again. I'm looking forward to taking a trip out and going to see the sea myself - will aim for some time in April.
Good luck with the healthy eating. I've been giving contraband / high fat items away to family and friends - but have kept some mini eggs as treats.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Enjoy the BHNo one's ever told me I don't eat enough, thank you
However, I do eat large portions. It was a big bowlful of strawberries and blueberries and a couple of big spoonfuls of yoghurt.
I didn't eat the salad at lunchtime as I wasn't hungry, but I did then eat a handful of pringles and a small easter egg! So I'm not short on calories. 🙄 I'm not a fan of sweet potato (or any potato really) so don't tend to eat it too often.
It's a decent size gammon steak, and that with the egg will be filling enough for me with the veg.
Thank you for the input though, it definitely helps.savingholmes said:Glad you had a good break and got to see the sea again. I'm looking forward to taking a trip out and going to see the sea myself - will aim for some time in April.

Thank you, I hope you get to the sea soon.
Thank you, I'm sure it will be an up and down journey as can be seen from today's efforts!

I didn't manage to get into the garden today as by the time I was considering it, it started raining.
The kids disappeared upstairs for a while so I did a short workout via the fitness app on the tv. I thought there was a you tube app, but I couldn't find it, so I'll have to check the you view box. I could always plug in the fire stick if need be. I definitely worked some muscles I don't normally use!
I bought some laxative for the cat (on advice from the vet), and it arrived today. According to the packaging, cats go wild for the flavour and will lap it up if you put it on their feet. My cat looked at me with disgust and wandered around for ages with a dollop of it on her footIt did disappear eventually so hopefully she ate it. Maybe now she's tried it she'll go wild for it next time.
I've set up a new standing order to the mortgage for the amount that rounds our monthly payment up to the nearest hundred. At least we'll still be overpaying, even if I'm not padding there any more."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
