"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
I've been in an absolutely foul mood today. I think my hormones are adding to the rage!
Logged on this morning to find multiple things that had been dumped on me, or more realistically people 'hadn't got round to' before they were away. Some had been sitting on stuff for nearly 2 weeks so it's me that looks bad when a delayed response comes from me, especially when it's a fairly standard query.
I try and be understanding that we are all different and work in different ways, but it's so frustrating when people either can't be bothered to answer something, or spend so much time chatting or faffing around that they don't get round to doing stuff and then others have to pick up the pieces!
Anyway, breathe.... maybe I'll be needed too much for them to let me go
Speaking of which, I requested a quote for VR today. It will at least give me the knowledge to plan should I be made compulsory redundant. Requesting the quote doesn't put me in the firing line at all, as there is an official form to complete to apply for VR, and I won't be completing it.
Pancakes for tea tonight which is a brighter end to the day

Well done on the PADs.
Funnily enough I'd forgotten that I'm off again after tomorrow, you've cheered me up, thank you!
That's what I thought. I calculated my current estimates based on statutory which is what my current employer offers, so it will be nice to see what I'd actually get based on the T&Cs I was under before.beanielou said:Good to know your figures."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I got out of the right side of bed this morning
I've had a productive day and got some positive comments about a piece of work that I'd done which is always nice. DH took the kids out for the day so I've had some peace and quiet which also helps.
Despite the fact that we don't celebrate Valentine's day, DH and I got engaged 20 years ago today!
We've sold two of the kids items so that's a little more going. I still need to sort through little miss's clothes which are dumped in our bedroom. I'll try and get to that tomorrow.
I'm off now until Monday which is always a good thing
