Little miss is off on a trip with Brownies this morning. The plan for the rest of the day/weekend is to get the tree up, give the house a good clean and make sure all the bedrooms are tidy, and all the radiators have clear access around them ready for next week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Sorry to hear your boilers packed in. I don't know if you know anyone with a heated airer for drying clothes you could borrow. We have one(not overly great at drying our clothes tbh) but it's really good for taking the chill off a cold room and only 7p an hr for ours. I often have it on for a bit instead of the heating and I used it in the kids rooms to take the edge of and heat the room quicker in the cold snap last week. They are hot to touch though so be careful with children/cat !Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

We had a bit of a spendy morning while we were out. I bought a new string of lights for our tree, as it's longer and I should be able to use one lot rather than two. Some paint remover to try and clear some of my drips off the stairs.
We've had a quieter afternoon. I'm still worried about the cat as she's not eating a lot. She's already skinny so can't really afford to lose any more. I've had the heater running constantly this afternoon to try and warm up the house a bit in case she's struggling with the cold. I dread to think how much it will cost, but it's worth it. I've also given her a nice fleecy blanket which will hopefully hold the heat better when she's lying on it. I stumbled across the book 'Goodbye Mog' today which doesn't help 😭
DH is actually going out tonight for a couple of hours. It will be nice to have the TV for once!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
Yes, she's very happy about that!beanielou said:So good to get a badge too!
That's a good idea, I don't know anyone with them. I bought a small heater yesterday which wasn't too expensive and will be handy to have as a backup in future. I don't think it will be particularly cheap to run though, so hopefully it's only needed for a few days!NeverendingDMP said:Sorry to hear your boilers packed in.
