Payday this week was nice as I got the payrise and back pay so I got a nice £700 odd extra. I have been very good with it, so I sent £600 to my PBs and £100 to the mortgage. When I fully understand what my new take home pay is, I'll look at upping my AVCs.
My plan for next year is to focus on 'resilience' so building up savings and having that emergency pot.
No word on DH's job yet, and I won't know til early next year, but I'm increasingly hopeful about surviving this round.
I've got two high pressured days on Monday and Tuesday, then I hope things will settle a bit and my anxiety might ease a little. We are off out today for little miss's birthday day out, so that should be nice.
Have a good day everyone.

We had a nice day out yesterday. Freezing cold but bright and sunny. Funnily enough it had been thick fog and gloom all day at home.
I've done a bit of admin this morning including completing the driving licence application, so will get that sent off. I've booked and paid for school lunches up til Easter so that will be something I don't need to worry about now til March or so. They take packed lunch 3 days and have school lunches 2 days. I must say I love those two days not having to faff about with lunchboxes!
We've put up some Christmas lights and decorations this morning, and will try and get the tree down later so we can get that up as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
