So now I'm starting to feel a bit better, an update on the last couple of weeks.  I've spent a lot of time reading, watching stuff I can get stuck into, resting and general self care. I've also made the effort to walk more again, though the decorating has caused me more pain in my knee so that's annoying.

The company rebooked the survey for cavity wall insulation, but then I found out they wanted to go all through the house to do an EPC so I cancelled it again, as there was just too much I would need to do to prepare.  I will revisit in the future.

I'm done with my Christmas shopping, just need to wrap it all.  Some has already been posted and delivered to relatives, and some more will go next weekend.  Then it will just be ours, and local family.  I'll post the cards off soon as well.

Decluttering has continued.  I've got a few more days to see if there's anything else I can pass on to school before the Christmas fayre.

I've done a first coat of paint on the landing and hallway.  Despite me being a messy painter, and it needing a second coat, it is already brighter and cleaner looking.  I have decided that I dislike decorating though so will try and save for someone to do it in future.  What I've done is good enough to make it cleaner looking, but I'm not skilled or patient enough to make it look neat and tidy, so I'd much rather get someone in to do it properly at some point.

PADs obviously have continued, but I've not done so well with surveys, so I need to try and get back to that as they were getting me a nice little extra bit to pad.

I've set up my spreadsheets for next year, but still need to look at the budget.  I'm thinking of resilience, so would like to get more savings behind me while I am still employed!

I've done my car insurance today, and saved £30 on the renewal quote, and will hopefully get £36 in cash back too.

I got my driving licence renewal through, and thought it would be easy to do as I've just done my passport.  Apparently not though.  After it kept on saying it couldn't verify me, I went on live chat to the DVLA.  Because my passport is new, and new passports don't have the electronic signature, I can't use it to update my driving licence online.  I've got to either send in the form, or go to the post office - both of which are more hassle and more expensive.  It's ridiculous that things seem to have gone backwards.  Must be another Brexit bonus!
