Thank youEssexHebridean said:Argh yes, isn't it annoying when you try to point out potential consequences and people just brush your comments aside, only to find out later that you were right! I always think it's funny how many of those who were happy to be outspoken in shouting you down go remarkably quiet when the brown stinky stuff hits the rotating cooling device, too! Well done on biting your tongue against told you so's, but I do hope you are wearing a suitably long-suffering expression!
The November PADS are looking decent enough for this early in the month!
I sent an email yesterday with a number of recommendations for changes, so it's all explicitly in writing now, so hopefully they'll take it into account!
I'm very pleased with the PAD level for this month. I've been splitting it between savings and mortgage.
Thank you. It's all very frustrating and unsettling. I'm hopeful that I'll survive this round. There's increasing possibility that they will start offering VR soon. If I can get a quote without placing a target on myself I will do so that I can plan for the future should it come up again. However, I won't be taking it now. My plan if I can is to cling on for a few years yet.savingholmes said:So frustrating when you don't feel listened to. Hope things improve at work and you keep your job. I've got a headache this morning but that's because I'm not sleeping well. I've been productive though. I got up early and have put our bedding in the wash, and replaced the sheet with a new one as the current one has worn through in several places.
I've also tidied up the remaining toys that need to be sorted, following last week's activities. A small win is that they all fit in the cube units now and it's not crammed! Nothing on the floor, and we still need to go through the remaining boxes so there's still more to go.
I dropped a bag of kids books and a bag of toys to school the other day for the Christmas fayre, so that's got it out of the house without any real hassle. I also put a bag of bits in the bin, as they were no good for reuse.
If I get a chance I'll take a longer lunchbreak so I can hoover through and clean the bathroom ahead of tomorrow. It would be nice not to have to do it tomorrow. I've got the survey for the cavity wall insulation tomorrow, so I'm hoping they don't need to come into the house much.
I stepped on the scales this morning for the first time in a while and it looks like I'm between 7-10lb down on previously. I think that probably happened with all the stress with DH, but at least it seems to be staying off, particularly as I've not been eating particularly well. I have been eating better this week mostly, so things are improving.
I'm hoping to finish early today, at 4 when I collect little miss. I've got plenty of time on the clock and did very long days yesterday and Tuesday to try and catch up with stuff at work. I'd better get on with things so I can finish with a relatively clear to do list!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you, that's a lovely thing to say. I must be like a swan, calm on the surface and paddling furiously underneath! 😖BalanceBy50 said:Sending you a big hug. Well I didn't manage to finish at 4, and I didn't manage to take the longer lunchbreak as a meeting overran and then I had another immediately after lunch so I haven't done anything I planned. I have now finished though, and am going to try and relax this evening, as I have an almighty anxiety knot in my stomach which hurts, and makes me feel rough. Hopefully we can chill a bit this weekend as well.
My new AVC application has been approved, so hopefully the new amount will start being taken this month. All good for the future.
We've got the cavity wall survey tomorrow, so at least that will give me the kick up the rear to tidy before they come. It's just occurred to me to google the company coming, and they have very good reviews so that's good."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
