Yoga helps with balance. I can still stand on one foot longer than most people because I learnt how to focus amd what to focus on in yoga lessons as a child.jwil said:
I'm thinking it might be some of the other skills like balance etc. She's nervous about balancing on stuff and climbing, so I can understand that side of it. I think she's flexible enough, but worth looking at thank you. Having the confidence to try new things too is something worth working on.badmemory said:Are they saying that she isn't very flexible, bodywise I mean.3 -

I've been really annoyed today as it looks as though I might be moving teams in the restructure and no one has said anything to us. It's so frustrating and unsettling.
One the one hand I'm not too bothered as it's a linked area, and quite frankly I've been fed up with the lack of guidance and communication, but on the other hand I have no idea on who would be my new line manager or who I would be working with (and that's assuming I continue to do my same work).
I've been tempted to get a quote for VR, but it wouldn't really work out financially at the moment, so I've got to stick with the plan unless pushed!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". That sounds huge. You could get a quote or you could work it out yourself. You can work out the number of weeks using the government's website. Then the organisation you work for will normally have a published policy on their VR terms. You can then apply that formula. PM me if you want further explanation.jwil said:I've been really annoyed today as it looks as though I might be moving teams in the restructure and no one has said anything to us. On your DD - she could be dyspraxic - could be worth checking through online lists to see how wide her issues are - or it could just be that she doesn't meet the same milestones as her peers at a particular time.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

No harm in getting a VR quote.

Thank you. My organisation is statutory only, but I'm under TUPE protection and can't remember what the terms of my previous organisation were. The biggest problem would be finding a job with similar pay, there's not a lot around here and I don't want to start commuting to other areas, as I'd soon lose the financial benefits. If I was closer to my hoped retirement age I would, but I've got too much to do first to go yet.savingholmes said:

Just looking at dyspraxia, she's definitely not. I think she mostly needs confidence building and practice. She just takes a bit longer to get there I think."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you. I might ask for one anyway, as it would help know what terms I am on!beanielou said:No harm in getting a VR quote.

Last day today! No more school runs for 6 weeks, hurrah!
I did a last minute scoot around this morning and grabbed a few bits of clothing, and all the old shoes to take to the clothing bank at school. That's tidied up the porch a bit which is nice.
Tidying and cleaning is the plan today. I must say it's a great testament to the progress that we have made that I don't have a huge 'to do' list for these holidays, and instead am looking forward to getting out and about with the kids. That doesn't mean there isn't stuff I want to do, but in previous years I'd be thinking that each day out is a day I can't be getting on at home. That is a massive, massive step forward, so please remind me of this next time I whinge about the state of the house

As someone who also uses each school holiday to attempt to put the house back together I get you. And that is a huge achievement to not feel overwhelmed with what you need to try and do. Well done!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
