RWG double top up january

Depends what market they want to reach. At the moment their systems seem very labour intensive and open to human error, but I guess a lot of their target customers are not app users so rwg might not be able to direct that much traffic to an app.0

Id say,low users like me,wouldnt be bothered about a app, the info text to 669 tells me all i need to know1

I agree, if no app or meaningful online account is what it takes to get a cheap/free service then I'm in. Stuff like second class post for SIMs and a couple of days to reply to an email is fine if the payoff is a bargain price. At the end of the day, if it all works, once set up there should be no real need to ever contact anyone.alanjones60 said:Id say,low users like me,wouldnt be bothered about a app, the info text to 669 tells me all i need to know0 -
To update on this, they emailed today to apologise that because the £15 topup was for the £15 one-off FREE monthly bundle and wasn't doubled, my third top up was infact eligible for doubling and I now have a balance of £135 credit (£15 initially for the free bundle and 3 x doubled £20 top ups). The £3 one-off bundle (ukrwg2) I bought by text on Friday still doesn't seem to have come off my balance yet.gizz_10 said:
Thats good to know - I will just do £45 - now my new sim has arrived with the £15 UKRWG1 bundle and the £15 credit intact.Stuart_W said:I have managed to get my first 2 £20 top-ups doubled but I was advised by email after the third one it couldn't be doubled as it took me over the £60 monthly top-up limit (I wasn't counting the initial £15 top-up as it wasn't doubled, but it seems that does count towards your top-up total for the month).1 -
If we are trading "unusual occurences" I bought the £15 free bundle deal but when it went to payment, part way through it said "payment failed" but I have the £15 bundle and it is working. I await my credit card statement to see if it really did go through or not.1

They must have a large amount of cash now with all the top-up's from everyone in January!flaneurs_lobster said:
And how would they pay for all this extra functionality? There's a reason why they are cheaper than all their competitors.3wheels said:It would be so much more helpful if RWG had a proper functional working app where customers could easily check their credit and allowance and purchase extras (the "joyn" thing doesn't count).0 -
But that cash will be their only income from many customers for the whole year, perhaps longer. I'd rather the service just keeps working rather than they spend a fortune on developing some swish app, only to go bust a few months later. Fully functioning management apps for phone tariffs are available elsewhere - £0.00 a month for calls, texts and data not so much.wakeupalarm said:They must have a large amount of cash now with all the top-up's from everyone in January!0 -
