No buying until I’ve used up ALL my stashes

Hi, can I join? I have a huge stash of crafting stuff but thinking about it I realise I have huge stashes of everything !!! My home looks perfectly tidy and organised but behind every cupboard door are tons and tons of stuff. I must start using this up and stop buying. My list:
1) Wool - I recently found a list of my stash in 2019 - it totalled 19 kilo 240 grams. While I have used some I have also bought a lot more. I'm going to update this list and make a to do list for my knitting projects this year.
2) Quilting fabrics - I have loads and love quilting. I must think of projects to use up the fabrics.
3) Dressmaking fabric - When I was young (I'm retired now) I used to sew all my clothes including coats, jackets, wedding dress etc . When the kids were young I made all their clothes but then I stopped as life was just too busy. Anyway, I have a huge stash of dressmaking fabrics with the intention of dressmaking again. Realistically after all these years will I ever sew my clothes again. I must decide to either start or get rid of this mountain of fabric.
4) I have boxes of candles. Some plain and some perfumed. I must start using them.
5) Clothes - Again loads and loads of clothes. Most are years old but still fit me and are still lovely. I'm thinking I don't wear them as my life has changed and they don't suit my lifestyle now. I will think about this one.
6) FOOD - this is a biggie !!! Every kitchen cupboard, fridge freezer, small freezer and storecupboard is stuffed to the gunnels with food. I've always had a good store of food but this has gone into overdrive since lockdown when I had difficulty getting fresh food and very basic ingredients. I had no transport, couldn't get a supermarket delivery and family all lived far away. I realise I have to get over this. I have already started a NO SPEND FOOD month and am buying no food except milk. I will have to be very inventive but looking forward to the challenge and reduce my food stash.
Sorry for the long post but by writing this down it might help me to stay on the straight and narrow 😄

i'm on day 9 of not buying any food (8/9 nsd) and we're officially out of everything fresh. the troops are starting to speak rebellian at the lack of fresh fruit but the two worst adjitators are back in school tomorrow so they can get there fix on the black market there!
i'm taking the view that if it doesn't come into the house it doesn't count as part of my stash. and i'm fine with the frozen fruit and veg (taking up 2 full draws int he freezers so not like we're going to run out soon!!) so i'm hoping we can make it to the end of the month without me giving in. re milk. about 20 cartons of uht. a small frozen milk. and 2 tubs of milk powder! (we normally rely on uht between deliveries anyway so everyones used to that bit).
and the gammon roast yesterday was lovely. more than half left over so i've kept enough for cold cuts and mash tonight and put the rest in the soup with half a pack of ham ofcuts i found in the freezer. not sure ive got the right kind of dried peas so they might not mush but i can always break out the stick blender and the stock tastes lush.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

I discovered that I have a stash of unread ex-library home decoration magazines. It's a small stash, just 7, but needs to be dealt with. I might take one with me when dd2 is at her 20-minute singing lesson every Thursday evening, and I'll be waiting for her to come back, either in the school's hallway or in the car. I pass the magazines on to a church member who enjoys reading them.

@ariarnia - never been called a doomsday prepper before but if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck then it's a doomsday prepper 🤣🤣🤣
I am also on day 9 of no spend food. Only fresh fruit I have left are 2 apples and 2 kiwi fruit but as you'd expect I have a mountain of tinned fruit. I do have plenty cabbage, root vegetables and tomatoes. I have 6 fresh potatoes left and maybe 6 tins. I don't really like tinned potatoes but needs must. I have no fresh bread but did discover 1 panini and 6 pitta bread in the freezer. I also have about a kilo of bread flour - that'll come in handy when I'm craving a sandwich. I don't keep lots of flour as I've been visited by flour weevils a couple of times - once was even after freezing the flour for 48 hours. I do have packets and packets of cream crackers and special cheeses bought for Christmas - that's going to be my lunches.I didn't plan to do this or I'd have stocked up 🤣🤣🤣🤣. My biggest craving at the moment is yoghurt and grapes that I have most day. None left 🥵Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Please can I join? I have stashes of everything except craft stuff. Stationery, toiletries, cleaning things and food. Not nearly as bad as it was but I'm on day 9 and I need to keep myself accountable as I'm aiming for end feb before I buy any more food or cleaning things. End of Jan is my first target though. I usually treat myself to nice shower stuff or even kitchen cleaner when I'm in the shops, so I have at least 6 shower gels and 3 new sprays stashed. Later today after my work shift I will brace myself clear out the cupboard and get a true picture of what I'm dealing with.Magnolia Stellata8

My food stores are not too bad, but I could still probably go until the end of the month only buying fresh fruit and veg, and milk. What I am doing is writing a strict list of what I need and sticking to it.
I’ve sorted out some books and clothes to donate to charity, plus am binning old socks and underwear.8 -

My weakness is yellow sticker meat and fish.
Live alone with a standard size fridge freezer.
Counted 20 full portions for meals but couldn't resist squeeze in pack of 8 chicken breasts reduced by half price
Upon cleaning out cupboards this weekend to keep warm without putting heating on counted 17 tins of tomatoes...really need to stop looking!!14
