Hello Ladies,
Purple Pixie, It is a blessing that your husband is still able to walk. Giving up perfume is a small price to pay. It does pay to be a loyal customer with trusted tradesmen.
The party in the Flower of Kent pub for my friend's birthday was a fantastic night out for me. There were lots of people and the DJ played the right tunes to keep us all dancing. The food was great. I had a piece of fried chicken, a piece of fried fish, a piece of jerk pork, 2 chicken wings, some salad and some coleslaw.
I saw Tony , who is an ex and he made a point of coming over to speak to me and he said 'you look good' which was a nice compliment to receive. Tony and I only had a few dates and exchanged a few kisses before he let me down and I cut my losses. He was before Wayne. I had a couple of slow dances with Tony later in the evening, but my arthritis was quite bad, so I was glad to sit back down on my seat. I was able to stand up and dance at times, but mostly I had to dance sitting down on the chair I had secured for myself when I first arrived at the pub. My other ex Wayne, was also in the pub. I would not have realised he was there, if he had not made a point of walking past me and staring at me. I just gave Wayne a little wave of acknowledgment. I also had attention from this other man who is a regular in that pub. He wanted to know why he had not seen me for so long and wanted me to know that he had missed me.
I layered my Red Door with the body powder, the shower gel and the body lotion. I wore black mascara, brown shimmer eye shadow and gold eyeliner. I wore red lip gloss and painted my nails with clear nail polish.
I left the pub at 3am. I had a bit of a wait for a night bus that could take me back to Camberwell, but the party was worth it.

Sounds like a fun evening Sugarbaby.
Thanks for the compliments on my nails ladies although they look awful at the moment as they have all chipped.
I had a good time with my brother staying over here for a couple of days. We walked to the restaurant I wanted to try (Stop the World cafe) but they were just closing at 4pm. Either it is too busy with queues out the door there or it is closed. I will get inside that place one day! We then walked to an Indian restaurant I had never been to but that wasn't open until 5 and it was only 4.20. There was an Italian restaurant called Ugo's right next door so we went in there instead. Quite nice food and ambience.
My brother drove my husband yesterday to buy the paint and rollers for when we get our house painted this month. I need to deep clean each room before the decorator comes over so I will start that this week. I have got an Amazon delivery and an Ocado delivery tomorrow and my husband is taking my dog to the vet for her annual checkup. We have the guy coming over to clean the gutters and windows on Tuesday.
I saw that Amazon had taken out some money from our bank account and then remembered I had pre-ordered the Prince Harry autobiography which comes out this Tuesday. We bought tickets for the comedian Dara Ó Briain for May so we have him and concert tickets for Belinda Carlisle, Pulp and The Weeknd this year now.
I want to do a few things while we are getting the house painted as he is booked in for 7 days. I want to go to see a film at the O2, try a couple of local restaurants and maybe go on The City Wheel at Southend that they have recently opened. I'm going to sort out renewing our passports that week too. We should book in our haircuts too as I found the money off card they gave me in my wallet the other day and I haven't had my hair cut since August.

Sugarbaby it sounds like that Red Door was working it's magic for you. You must have had a great night with good food thrown in. It's a shame about the arthritis, have you found it worse since covid? I had a bit of arthritis in my hands but it got so much worse, I had those aches and pains that you get with a fever but it just doesn't seem to want to go. I had steroid injections in my hands which helped but I think I need a top up.
Wednesday I have a feeling that you were planning to move when I went into covid exile, is that right or have I mixed you up with someone else? How did it go. I want to move but husband is absolutely determined not to. I think I'm going to have to play the long game with that, I just worry I will get to an age where I can't face it and I'll be stuck here forever. I can't dwell on it or I will get too depressed.

Purple Pixie, yes my arthritis got worse after I had a serious bout of Covid-19, but no one could be sure my arthritis would not have progressed in this way without Covid-19 affecting my joints. No matter how slow or fast the deterioration, arthritis always gets worse eventually.
My 2 sisters who do not have arthritis got a lot of joints pains after they had Covid-19, but they eventually improved.
I did have a fantastic night at the party. I am looking forward to the next one on Saturday 14th January.5 -
What a lovely catch up with you all. I'm feeling better about myself with just a few small steps and have been researching hair toppers too as I have decided to buy one. I think it was just the sense of needing to admit that and getting going. Have had a very restful weekend too and that helps
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Wednesday glad the move worked out. I want to live in a city, 2 of my kids live in cities and one close to a city so I could have a choice. I hate it here, it was OK when the children were small but they have moved away after university and I feel cut off at the end of the world, well Devon in reality. I think I just prefer cities and I'd like to be closer to other family members.
Sugarbaby, obviously you are right and arthritis will get worse. Mine is in my right hand and is due to an accident where joints in that hand were damaged, it is quite clear on the xray they showed me and I could even tell them the date it happened as It was the first Christmas after my first baby was born. I do think covid is linked to how much it has deteriorated virtually overnight plus appearing in other joints. Maybe I will be like your sisters and it will improve, at the moment the steroid injections have been a big help.
DH seems to be having a good day so we might go out somewhere. The weather isn't very inviting but it is good to get out.7 -
Morning All,
Hope you all had a beautiful weekend.
I made a faux pas with trying to colour my hair in the normal MSE way. They have changed the liquid colour in to a cream I attempted my normal 50/50 mix and it is not working in the same wayneedless to say I haven't got the same experience from it. It's just not me, anyhow trying to make the best of it, I have decided the colour will suit a different hairstyle that has suited me many moons ago and still does. So off to the barbers (MSE savings) for a bit of a re style. 'Tis a new year after all

scatters."Stay Stunning" 😂. Love it. Our new motto. 🥂
good Morning lovely ladies.Loving all the chat, great to see the newbies engaging, joining in and getting off to a good start.Had a bit of mixed week.....a week of two halves but the good news is my car passed her MOT with flying colours and I got a nice refund of £58 from the car insurance due to moving house. Obviously a "better area" in the insurance company's eyes. Snobs. But I'm not complaining. Lol.Speaking of MOTs I'm off to have a consultation with a chiropractor in a bit. Time to get a grip on pain levels, improve my mobility and flexibility etc. My plan is, whilst I am renting and not engaged in any diy or renovating projects, I am going to use this time as a sort "sabbatical" to address several (hopefully) minor health niggles before they get worse.Cher couldn't "Turn Back Time" but thats exactly what I intend to do......
.I want to end this year looking and feeling 10 years younger - fitter, stronger and healthier. 😉6 -
Love this "stay stunning" and the idea of ending the year stronger fitter and healthier.
I have woken up with back ache. Quite marked back ache - so - I have found a board a physio suggested to stretch my calves and tried that and surprise it really has helped. I'll have to keep doing it so I have it in my office as it is so ouch ouch ouch to use I can only manage a few seconds but I'm trying.
Also in the move to be fab I deleted a game from my phone. I was wasting far too much time playing it. There I've told you now so I cannot download it again. I'll just have to be strong. I was using as a distraction from life.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
