Wednesday you did a great job of painting your nails. That colour looks lovely on you.5

Love the nail colour. What is it.6

Thanks.:) I'm not at home so I don't know what the colour is.
That is what I meant to say I tried the Beauty Pie No filter cream as I read it got really good reviews, but it really didn't suit my skin. It made it red and irritated.6 -
Lovely job and colour, Wednesday 😊 Hope you have/had a nice time with your brother!
More clearing the decks (and the decs, lol!) here over the past 24 hours - I've managed to reduce my stash of fabric and upholstery trims etc down to one huge plastic trunk although as that also includes several curtains it's better than it sounds 😁 Also found a box of vintage prints and frames I'd forgotten about so going to get rid of those too.
In amongst the masses of fabric I discovered a piece that will be perfect for another cushion for the living room. I'll be working on that this evening.
The Christmas tree, all wreaths/garlands and associated decorations are down too - it's weird to see the new living spaces without this stuff for the first time since we completed the work and we actually have more room than I'd realised 😀 It does look terribly bare though and will take some getting used to.6 -
I love that colour Wednesday. How was your lunch?I was complimented by the concessions ladies in Mr T’s on my outfit and make up this morning. It was very cold I had layered up, so it was nice, they said I looked elegant. It’s a working day for me so I wanted to look good for meetings. That is the confidence boost for me to keep the look up.
I also scored mince pies for 40p yay.
My afternoon walk has been written off by the wet and windy weather. I am aiming for 5,000 steps a day and although went out in the hoolie on Monday I don’t fancy it in the dark.6 -
Hello Ladies,
Mrs Catz compliments really make a difference to the recipient. Your effort is already paying dividends.
I just entered my play for the Bush Theatre playwriting competition for 2023 as the closing date was Monday 9th January. As I am getting pampered and primped for my friend's birthday party in the pub tomorrow night, I though I had better get on with it today. I have to wait 8 months at least to find out if my play is worthy of the long list.6 -
Morning Ladies,
Happy New Year All
I have only found this thread recently (this week actually) how supportive you all are. It is sad that we far too often put others before ourselves and neglect the simple things of seeing our own beauty.
I am a lippy/ lip moisturiser gal and definitely undressed without my perfume. That has always been a thing of mine since a young girl.
If I come across a nice smell on ANYONE I will always make a comment to such and ask about it too. The weirdest one I did was with a lady who was out shopping in the SM on her own during Covid lockdown. The fragrance was noted by me 3 times as I tried to work out where it was coming from (I had to have a word with myself not to let the opportunity pass) even though we were wearing masks I had to speak with her. It was strange doing a very random act in particular under the circumstances and especially when you cannot see someone's face. She was happy to share with me, I'm sure I made her smile.
I have recently found a mascara in brown for the first time in my life. It wasn't even expensive. I have worn it only a couple of times. This I shall wear today going forward.

@sugarbaby125 - re the increased allergies has it not been suggested you may need an epi pen? Just to be safe.
@Watty1 - Your description of wearing a bright pink jumper made me smile for you

Welcome 2 Scratters
No, my GP did not suggest I need an epi pen. I doubt I need one, as the antihistamines work for me, and as I no longer eat king prawns or mixed nuts, I have not had an allergic reactions.6 -
Sugarbaby you did well with the Red Door, I can't wear any sort of perfume now as it makes DH sneeze and his back is holding together by a thread, a sneeze really could cripple him. A top back specialist predicted he would be in a wheelchair within 10 years and that was 30 years ago, worst case scenario he would be quadriplegic so I give up perfume but just occasionally I smell one I like and feel very nostalgic. I count my blessing, he can still walk, not far and not fast and with pain but he can do it.
Wednesday you have done a lovely job with your nails.
I had a real win yesterday, plumber came to sort out the leak, it only took him a few minutes and he wouldn't accept any money. He did our bathroom in 2021 and he is going to replace our ailing boiler when it finally dies so we are good customers but I was still very pleased and the leak has gone which is even better.
