    Hello Ladies,

I had my PIP medical assessment over the telephone on Thursday morning. The nurse sent her report to the DWP almost immediately, so now I have to wait at least 6 weeks to get the decision from the DWP.

I went to the Ritzy cinema yesterday evening to watch the film How To Blow Up A Pipeline. It was a good film, which makes you really think about climate change.  :) I used a £6 Picturehouse voucher towards the price of my ticket, so I only had to pay £1 on my debit card.  :)

Today is my 61st birthday and I am having a lovely day. I got 3 new books, a Elizabeth Arden Red Door 4 piece gift set and money. I am having a lovely, relaxing day and I am going to watch a play at The National Theatre this evening.  <3

Happy belated birthday Sugarbaby. I got a letter from PIP saying they hadn't done my review yet so had extended the payments until May 2024. My sister-in-law got the same letter.

I have noticed lumps on my fingers that I think might be osteoarthritis from googling. I filled out an e-consult and I have an appointment with the musculoskeletal specialist at my GP in two weeks. This did happen before with my fingers, but it was maybe 10 years ago and the lumps disappeared so I didn't bother to see a GP about it, but I will see what happens this time. I was talking online with some people I "know" and some suggested an anti-inflammatory way of eating as that can help with arthritis. I'm trying that anyway as it can't hurt. Basically just eat more fresh food and less processed food. Taking turmeric is supposed to help too so I ordered some in my shopping.

I haven't been doing much fabbing although I did have a hot bath and defuzzed this morning. The weather is meant to be very nice next week which will be good as the winter seemed so long this year! I do need to get some summer clothes so I might go to a few charity shops next week. I feel like I haven't bought any clothes in quite a while.

    Hello Ladies,

Thanks Wednesday.  :) There is a huge backlog with PIP reviews and medical assessments. At least both you and your sister-in-law have written notification that you are entitled to your PIP payments until May 2024.

    Belated Happy Birthday Sugarbaby 🥳🎂💐
Sounds like you had a lovely day 😊 Loved your cheerful tulips on a previous post too!

Good to hear you've received acknowledgement regarding your PIP payments, Wednesday 😊

We've managed to get a bit of house fabbing done this week - a few evenings laying gravel where we have our garden dining table and BBQ etc (this has required extensive digging out as it was previously multiple levels and we've still got half to do - I've been doing the digging where possible during the day). DH has done some plastering in Bed 1 and the lobby, plus I've been painting when the weather hasn't been good enough for outside stuff 😉 Gradually we're getting closer to going on the market!

Still need to cut and dye my hair though and can't wait for warmer weather as I'm sick to death of winter layers, lol!

    Belated birthday wishes @sugarbaby125.
    @Wednesday2000 a hot bath and defuzz is definitely a de-frump  ;)
My battery operated defuzzer threw a wobbler last week as the on/off button seems to be loosing its connection touch. Maybe in line for looking at another one in the near future. I have only ever had 2 in my life time as my best friend bought me one for my 21st and it lasted towards 3 decades and this one is on its second decade. I shall continue to be a tidy lady  :D:D
I've been working this weekend so no special treats for me. In the past couple of weeks though I have been more proactive in moving myself about and getting small things done. Keeping pushing forward I am seeing the physical things changing (not on me I hasten to add yet!) and that keeps the mood up.
@liberty_lily love that house fabbing. That too is a great focus where we can also feel better about ourselves. Good luck when ready for the sale.

It is a beautiful day here. I played fetch with my dog in the garden for a while. I have been quite busy this morning. The water leak people are booked in for tomorrow and I booked a check-up dentist appointment for myself and I sent a text to the builder and the windows/ gutters person to come round this week, hopefully. My windows are shocking and really need doing! I saw an email that we managed to sell one of the tickets for the concert we are missing so I'm hoping the other one will sell too. My husband needs to renew his annual train ticket soon so that will be about £2,000, but we do get about £200 a month of that back. April always seems like a busy and expensive month.

Liberty Lily - we had to take up a section of our decking and we were thinking of getting gravel to fill it in as it is now much lower than the rest of our garden.

I need to jet wash the decking this week, but I will wait until the workman and the window cleaner have finished.

Abbafan - sorry that your daughter is unwell. My friend had glandular fever at school and it made her very fatigued afterwards. I felt like that after I had mumps as an adult. Re books: I mostly read psychological thrillers. I have read a couple books by Gillian McAllister recently and I would recommend her. I did buy the Mindhunter book that the Netflix series we watched was based on, but I am having a bit of a break from violent shows/books at the moment as that was very gruesome.

I am binge watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix at the moment. it is a show about a young mother and her teenage daughter. It is half comedy and half drama. It is very good and lighthearted. The town they live in looks like the stereotypical towns they have in American Christmas movies.:)

I meant to say I am loving the flower pics on here. I keep forgetting to buy myself some so I will do that this week.
