Hair done today. All cut and coloured so I no longer look like a brillo pad. Shorter and slightly different but not radically so. Feel so much better. xxx

I've had a not very fun trip to the GP today as I have developed lumps on my fingers the past few weeks. He said it is osteoarthritis and possibly rheumatoid arthritis too. I have just booked myself in for an x-ray at the hospital for next week, which at least was quite quick. Oh well, nothing I can do until I know the result. He said arthritis is linked to the stomach so I might have been eating something that triggered symptoms as the lumps have subsided a bit since I booked the appointment. I might keep a food diary to see if anything stands out.

I am off out today to a restaurant and the cinema with hubbie and then we are out again to the cinema tomorrow and then out for a meal with my brother for Sunday lunch. We will probably eat at a restaurant near the beach. I am going to look around the chazzers today as I do need some new clothes.

I did see a concert advertised that I want to go to in June so I am going to book tickets when I get home.

    Have a lovely weekend all.:)

I too have had my hair cut at the barbers shop in the next village. Tomorrow I need to get my regular hair dye. I have filed my nails today, I need to keep them tidy as we are at a wedding on the Coronation day. I will get varnish on them during the week 2/3 coats over a couple of days. Just spotted my rings they need a clean out too so that's another little job for during the week.
What a month is going to be 3 bank holidays.

Have a lovely time whatever you decide to do

    2 Scratters xx

The appointment with the oncologist went very well. She's a lovley lady. Gave me lots of detailed information, explanations and advice. I now understand why it is imperative that I get to a healthy weight and maintain a healthy life style. So, no more faffing about. It's really important that I get rid of that excess weight.

    Hello Ladies,

2 Scratters I hope you really enjoy the wedding. It sounds as if you will look fabulous on the day. ☺️

Toni's Friend, that is great news about your oncologist, it sounds as if the 2 of you will be a good match on your cancer journey.

    Hello Ladies,

On Sunday 23rd April I went to the Ritzy cinema to watch the film A Thousand and One. Good film with a twist at the end. Free ticket which saved me £14.50 ☺️

On Monday 24th April I went to the National Theatre in the afternoon to watch the play Dixon and Daughters. I got a ticket worth £30 for only £1. Great play with an all female cast which deals with hard hitting subjects. 🙂

On Tuesday 25th April I went to see the musical Sweeney Todd at Wilton's Music Hall. I had a free ticket worth £32. 🙂 Unfortunately for me, I did not see the second half of this production, as I had a terrible Arthritis flare up and was in so much pain, despite taking 4 painkillers in the theatre, that it was prudent for me to leave in the interval. ☹️

On Wednesday 26th April I went to Blackfriars Settlement for the mental health and wellbeing discussion group. There was too much talk of death for the first 45 minutes of the discussion and I could not shake off the upset I felt days later.

On Thursday 27th April I went to Southwark Playhouse Elephant to watch the musical Berlusconi. It was an excellent musical with really strong acting, beautiful music and great dancing. I got a ticket worth £22.50 for only £6.50. ☺️

On Friday 28th April I went to the Bernie Grant Arts Centre to watch the dance event The Unknown Soldier. I got a ticket for £5 which saved me £4.50 on the least expensive available ticket. It was such a moving and informative performance by the 2 male and 1 female actors/dancers. Their storytelling through their dances was exceptional. After doing the Lindy Hop, they got lots of members of the audience on their feet to dance with them. It was a brilliant end to the 1st half of the performance. 😍

On Saturday 29th April I went to the Jermyn Street Theatre to watch the period drama Jules and Jim. I had a free ticket worth £31. It is a drama about a relationship between a woman and 2 men. There were lots of twists in this drama, which made it even more enthralling than I had expected. 🤩

On Tuesday 2nd May I went to Southwark Playhouse Borough to watch Blanket Ban. It is a music and dance performance by 2 Maltese women about the abortion ban in Malta. They have found an unique way of getting their message across. I got a ticket worth £16 for £5. 🙂
