@sugarbaby125 I am a big believer in down scaling and have done like yourself for years. I will be checking out Aldi and Lidl for their beauty products. (the Astonish bleach spray has peony in it and smells fab) I use a lot of lip conditioner for no particular reason and a friend had told me of the Aldi  one it was very good. To be fair the J&J was always at the cost effective end of the market I just wish I'd realised sooner it was going off the market. Onwards and upwards though.
This will be an excuse to ponder the middle isles too, which I tend to avoid for obvious reasons  :#

Scan done yesterday. A bit puzzling as it wasn't what I thought it was for but, hey ho, they know what they are doing.

I'm finding my skin and hair are getting very dry and my nails, which were doing so well, have become very brittle. I'm pretty sure it's a side effect of the hormone treatment. I've ordered a  new shampoo, conditioner and hair mask which might help and I'm continually moisturising my skin and rubbing almond oil into my nails.

Radiotherapy appointments all sorted out now, Goodness there are a lot of them. But we will manage. Feeling really positive today.

    Hello Ladies,

I got my new Housing Benefit award for 2023/2024 finally. I got the £301 cost of living payment and I got my new award for my PIP from May 2023 until April 2026.  :) A weight off my mind now that those are sorted.

Thanks to eBay money back guarantee, I got my refund for the folding waling stick that was not delivered to me and for the new Osprey black leather handbag, that started to fall apart after 4 weeks of use, which turned out to be fake and not leather.  :)

On Saturday13th May, I went to the Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre to watch Christina Bianco doing her musical impressions of female Divas. She was not only incredibly talented as a singer, but her comedy was so funny. I really enjoyed the 2 hour show.  <3 I got a £35 ticket for only £10.

Yesterday morning I went to watch a preview of the film Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, which was very funny. I had a free ticket to watch this film at the Ritzy cinema.  :)

Had a bone density scan this morning. Just a precaution apparently.

The shampoo and conditioner seem to be working. Thank goodness.

Other than that I'm just plodding along. xxxx

@MrsCatz - walking with the shower cap on conditioning your hair made me smile. Did you wear a hot of top of that or did it not look obviously like a shower cap?

@Toni'sfriend I am currently using up excess stuff from my parents house(they are still with us) who have downsized into an apartment. Its a nail hardener by Sally Hansen - it seems to be doing the job very well as described as it says on the blue bottle.

There are other products that I am happy to use up as would not normally buy them. This is also making my money go further.

Still working on smartening up myself it's easier to smell great as have many perfumes to go at. The current one is an Aldi one number 39 poppy and barley suggested by jo malone originally. Really is a very cost effective way of wearing it. I had also bought sister one at Christmas to try along with the real macoy as that is what she wears. She is suitably impressed with it too.

Ha I should have said I wore a headscarf in a tasteful brown, the dog walkers are used to seeing me like that now. Think 40s landgirl in style, my neighbours are in their 80’s and wear theirs a la the Queen.
