Some pics from my walk today. It was beautiful weather. We had brunch at a cafe and then took the path down from Hadleigh Castle that leads to Leigh-on-sea and I had a glass of wine overlooking the sea in one of the pubs on the high street.

I had a free hearing test yesterday as I got a voucher in the post. The lady said my hearing is excellent and in some parts of the test I did better than a 21 year old. She said if I had to pay for these tests they would have been £200 so I saved some money there.

I'm off out the next two nights. I did finally cave and buy a jumpsuit the other day so I might wear that out one night. I'm going to paint my own nails to match the pedicure I got the other day.

    Hello Ladies,

Lianne 1984, the cinema was full of adults, so I can only presume that we were all fans of Judy Blume  :)

Thanks Wednesday. My anxiety over my PIP and the cost of living payment is over. Those are lovely photographs.  :)

Mrs. Catz, well done on using your existing beauty gadgets and resuming your walks. Headscarves can be stylish.

On Tuesday evening I went to the Ritzy to watch the documentary Little Richard: I Am Everything. I thought it was fantastic.  <3 I had a free ticket for this film as I am a Picturehouse member.  :)

Yesterday I went to the mental health and wellbeing discussion group at Blackfriars Settlement. It was a productive discussion. We all had our pick of Pret A Manger filled baguettes as they were donated to Blackfriars Settlement for the service users.  :)

Yesterday evening, I went to see a one man play, Something To Take The Edge Off at The Young Vic. He is one of the participants of Neighbourhood Theatre and he had wrote this 90 minute play and then persuaded Alisha to give him a small stage to perform it on. His talent was off the scale. He was also very funny. It was a very entertaining evening.  :)

I was going to a Sip n Paint party at the Young Vic this evening, but I had to cancel, as my Arthritis is too painful even when taking painkillers.  :(

    Hello Ladies,

I had my great great niece to stay overnight on Saturday and Sunday until her mum finished work at 7pm. She is a joy to have around.  :)

On Tuesday evening I went to the Ritzy cinema to watch a preview of the film Master Gardener. I enjoyed the film. I had a free ticket as a Picturehouse member.  :)

Yesterday afternoon my daughter and I went to the Bush Theatre to watch Lenny Henry in his one man debut play, August In England. It is a great play and Lenny Henry is outstanding. It has a lot of pathos and moments of sadness but most of all it is laugh out loud funny.  <3 I was one of only 3 audience members that he gave a shot of rum to and I was tickled pink to be one of the chosen few. :) I bought my ticket just short of a year ago, so I saved myself £15 on my ticket and a got a free companion ticket for my daughter.  :) At the end of the play a woman from the audience came over to talk to me and she just wanted to tell me that my enjoyment of the play had increased her enjoyment. It was a lovely compliment to receive.  :)

It is my younger daughter's 31st birthday today and she is having a good day so far. She enjoyed opening her presents and cards and she really loves everything she received.  :)  <3

    Hi All,

hope you are keeping well and have enjoyed some of the summer sun. Clearly we have all been busy in June with RL.
I have finally dug out my dresses for the season and easing my use of them needing washing as they are generally worn for at least 3 days in the week.

Thanks both, yes that makes sense lol!

I have been busy too. I am 51 and I just want to retire now, as I’ve had enough! Been working since I was 17 with only minimal breaks to have 2 kids, plus small spells of unemployment (due to redundancy). I just feel so deflated at the moment!

    Hello Lovely Ladies.

Yes I've been busy too with RL. Where does the time go.

Quick update........I have now had all my pre prep dental work done.  Not pleasant but needs must.  Next week I will be having my dental scan to see what the next stages will be.  It's going to be a long (and expensive) job.

Decided against joining a gym and have set up my spare bedroom as a mini gym. I love it, so convenient, no commuting, and no worrying about other people's sweat induced bacteria everywhere. 😱😂.  And cheaper too of course.  So win-win all round.

I was 72 last week....how did that happen!!!!    So time to really up my game.  Must try harder, especially with my fitness.  Having my own personal mini gym will really help, especially in the winter.

I recently had a bit of a wardrobe turf out, got rid of all the tired knitwear, tatty underwear, scruffy leggings etc.  I've not replaced much yet, I still have enough clothing to be going on with.  Save my pennies instead.  (The savings have helped pay for my treadmill).  I did buy some new make up but other than that I have been remarkably frugal.  Lol.

Not found a house yet.....no hurry.  I will know it when I see it.

Hope you are all keeping well and of course keeping on with the fabbing and refusing to fall into frumpdom. I am just about to give myself a facial.

Stay fabulous ladies.....❤️. And enjoy the summer.
