Wednesday it sounds like you had a really good pedicure and reflexology session. Just what you needed
The Aldi switch for your pets needs will be a long running money saver.
I hope your early retirement plans come to fruition.3 -
Wednesday have you got space to buy large bags of litter & food for your cats as that will be cheaper. Also look at VetUK online for flea treatments.

Floss - the problem is that one of my cats is extremely fussy and she at the moment will only eat the Gourmet tiny round tins of food or the Aldi knock-off version and also fresh chicken and cat biscuits. She will leave any other food we give her and she has lost weight and muscle mass already as we took her to the vet at the start of March. Her blood tests came back fine, but she is in her mid 80's in human years, like my other cat. My other cat has a flea allergy so we have make sure we apply it every 4 weeks instead of 6/8 weeks. We do buy cat litter in bulk usually and store it outside. I will look at Vet UK to see if I can get things cheaper, thanks.
I am going to have a bath and defuzz today and also put on an avocado face mask I bought from Superdrug.
I didn't see the coronation yesterday, but I did click on the story about Katy Perry not being able to find her seat with that hat she was wearing, Lol. Type of thing that would happen to me.3 -
My cat eats the 50g Sheba sachets - jelly only 🙄 - so I know that fussiness!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi All
Hope you have all enjoyed the long weekend?
I was busy gardening etc so not a lot of fabbing. I am planning on sorting out my wardrobe over the next couple of weeks, pack away the winter items, get out my summer ones, declutter and re-organise the space, any helpful hints and tips? I need to make it easier to see what I have and put items together in new and interesting ways.
I also need to get back into a routine with skin care, that's been very slapdash lately!
@Floss and @Wednesday2000 - My Aunt had a 'fussy' cat, mind you it probably didn't help that she would put down numerous bowls of food for it, so much so that the poor cat was overwhelmed and so branded fussy! I on the other hand have a Chocolate Labrador that inhales anything and everything, whether it should or not!
Have a great day

Hello Ladies,
I went to see Abomination: A DUP Opera at the Southbank Centre on Sunday. I had a free ticket for this performance worth £35. It is a very modern Opera and I found it really enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the long weekend. It was interesting watching the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla and then the Coronation Concert.
My great niece and her daughter (my great, great niece) came to visit us yesterday. Always lovely to have family visit us or for us to go and visit family.
I am going to the Old Vic this afternoon with Matinee Idols to watch the tech rehearsal for Groundhog Day and then in the evening I am going to the Ritzy cinema.
I realised that it would work better for me to cook the dinner this morning and plate it up for reheating in the microwave latter, as I have such a busy day ahead of me.3 -
Wow! A great, great niece, Sugarbaby. That's wonderful. I have a very small immediate family and I have just one great nephew. He's just turned 21 and is studying at Cambridge. A great achievement for a boy of his background. I'm so proud of him (as I am of my son and my one and only nephew).
I'm still plodding along here. It's been 5 months now from when I first consulted the doctor. In some ways it's been very long and in others it's flown past. Another six to eight weeks and it should all over. A lot of emotions, some fear and a few tears along the way but on the home stretch now. Even got that dress Himself promised me picked out. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.3 -
Hello Ladies,
Tony's Friend, I am glad you are on the home stretch and you will enjoy wearing that dress.
My parents had 12 children and I am the 11th child. Our family is very, very large even though we have lost siblings, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and our parents over the years, whom we miss dearly.
On Tuesday afternoon, I went to watch an hour of the tech rehearsal for Groundhog Day at The Old Vic with Matinee Idols and it was fascinating and enthralling. I am even more in awe of how hard actors have to work to perfect their craft before we see them on stage in the production.
On Tuesday evening I had a free ticket to watch the film Eight Mountains at the Ritzy cinema. This was a really great film about male friendship and 2 men being really supportive of each other.
It was my brother H's 68th birthday yesterday. I bought him a litre of Baileys and a litre of Brandy for him to share with his friends who will visit him over the next few days. I gave him some money in his birthday card and so did my son and daughter. I could not think of a suitable present within my budget, so I just gave him the cash. My son and I went and visited him yesterday and we were kept amused and laughing out loud by my brother. We all had a lovely visit together.
Yesterday evening my daughter and I used a Groupon at Leilani, the Nigerian/Caribbean restaurant. I paid £9.97 for the Groupon for 2 courses for each of us and 2 soft drinks which were worth £42.50. I had peppered steak with rocket and parmesan for my starter and jerk chicken with rice 'n' peas with a side salad. My daughter had saltfish fritters for her starter and whole grilled seabream with fried plantain for her main. The food was once again really delicious.2 -
Morning all,
I have just realised after the prompt in here that I have 3 great nephews. I'd never given it much thought but wow!
I am missing a face moisturiser that I have used for many many years, to the point DH used it as well. It has clearly preserved me well in my looks (my skin that is)It was Johnsons daily cream 4.5 or 5.4 with SPF in it too (I can't remember which way round the numbers were) it was very light textured and under £4 a jar, it would appear to have been stopped being produced. A friend bought me an expensive one for Christmas which would be about £25 for a smaller amount than what I had been using. No SPF in it and definitely not as good as my previous. It just goes to show that the most expensive is not any better a product. So for now I continue my search for a replacement.
2 Scratters xAnything is better than nothing-check back and see
On the declutter journey since 2023 with Mrs SD. Tilly Tidy since 2023.3 -
2 Scratters, some years ago, when ill health stopped me from being employed, I had to stop buying Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced day cream 50ml when it was on 3 for 2 offer for just shy of £50, as I could no longer afford it.
I switched to Lidl's Cien Q10 Intense day cream that had very similar ingredients and was less than £1.50 for 50ml and it turned out to be perfect for my skin and I have made huge savings since.
In this current cost of living crisis, I have switched my branded household cleaners to Lidl's own brand or Tesco own brand and if the own brand product performed as well or better than the branded product, I have made it a permanent switch, not to mention made great savings.3
