Hello Liberty Lily, the photographs of your daffodils in the vase and your potted bulbs are lovely. Definitely great mood lifters and thank you for the comment about my lovely great-grandchildren  :)

    Hello Ladies,

Thank you Abba Fan 1972  :)

On Friday I went to visit family in A------- and we all had a great time together. My older daughter cooked jerk, peri peri, barbecue and lemon and herb chicken wings for lunch with coleslaw and salad. For dinner she cooked vegetable chilli and basmati rice.

On Saturday my daughter, my son and I went to the Ritzy cinema to watch the film Rye Lane. I got all 3 tickets without having to part with any money.  <3 I used one of my free Picturehouse membership tickets for my ticket, then I used my CEA card to get a free ticket for my daughter, then I used a £5 of my Tesco Clubcard vouchers to convert to a £15 Picturehouse voucher to pay for my son's ticket. It was a romantic comedy that all 3 of us enjoyed to differing degrees.  :)

On Sunday, my great niece and her daughter came to visit us.  :) They bought me a lovely bunch of flowers for Mother's Day, which I really appreciated.  :)

My 4 adult children gave me money for Mother's Day. They have learnt that I can find real bargains and get exactly what I want, especially as I do not need anything, but I love to buy myself pamper products. I bought 2 of the Boots No7 Indulgent Bathing Collection for £56 saving myself £65.50 and I also collected £5 worth of Advantage card points on this order because I had spent over £55 and I got free delivery.  <3 I got a count me in theatre ticket to watch the play Sleepova at The Bush theatre for only £12 and I got a free companion ticket for my younger daughter daughter. I bought one of the new books off my list of titles I want to own from eBay.  :)

My older son, sent money to my younger son and asked him to go out and buy 2 bunches of roses for me for Mother's Day. He has finally taken on board that sending flowers through the post is far too costly compared to just buying bunches of flowers from one of the large supermarkets.  :)

    Hello Ladies,

I went to the Ritzy yesterday to watch the film Allelujah. Picturehouse cinemas do Happy Monday tickets for all adults for only £8.20 each. I get a £3 discount on tickets with my Picturehouse membership and I do not have to pay the 70p online booking fee, so my ticket only cost me £5.20.  :)

The film was really good. There is so much laugh out loud comedy in this film. It has a really good twist in the film which gave it even more depth.  :) Jennifer Saunders gives an outstanding performance in this film.  :)

Beautiful flowers. I love having flowers in the house. Himself usually buys me lilies from Aldi. It's always a surprise the see what colour they turn out to be and they last for ages.

I've been "window" shopping and I've seen some lovely dresses and sandals for summer. A lot of weight to lose first but I now have an idea of what I'm looking for. I'm only 5'1" so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good make for small people. xx

Thank you Toni's Friend  :) The flowers really lifted my mood.  :)

Minuet and Wallis Petite are both good brands. My younger daughter is a similar height.

When summer arrives, I would recommend that regardless of what weight you have lost, that you enjoy going shopping for a new summer dress and sandals.   :)

Thank you, Sugarbaby. I'm determined to wear a dress this summer no matter what. So, I've just ordered some sandals and matching bags just to get me ahead. xxx

    Beautiful flowers.:)

I saw some daffs outside a local shop yesterday, but they were already open and I prefer to buy them closed. I am going to go to Coop or Aldi later to buy some fresh flowers.

I did buy a nice Wallis maxi dress from a charity shop yesterday. I'm hoping the weather might warm up even more soon. I am reading the Paris Hilton autobiography at the moment and it is okay. I did like the Mel B autobiography I read a few days ago. It was quite shocking. I did buy three books from a charity shop as well yesterday.

I read the Dilly Carter book recently too. She is one of the team from the BBC show Sort Your life Out. I am going to follow some of her advice and store items I don't use very often like xmas decorations in a clear plastic box in the attic. I only looked in the attic for the first time since I moved here the other day and it is huge! I don't want to fill it up with stuff, though. I want my husband to burn his CDs onto his computer and then we can donate them to a charity shop. He has three big boxes of CDs so I'm going to be glad to get shot of them!

    Hello Ladies,

    Thanks Wednesday  :)

Yesterday was a complete MSE day for me thanks to Blackfriars Settlement. I went to the mental health and well being discussion group from 11am to 12.30pm. We covered so many interesting topics.  :) Then I had free freshly cooked vegetable soup with a piece of wholemeal seeded bread for my lunch, which was filling and delicious.  :)

We had a lot of chilled ready meals donated by The Felix Project to Blackfriars Settlement for the service users. I was given 3 chicken and potato curry with pilau rice meals to take home.  :) I left them in a strong carrier bag in the bottom of the fridge in the kitchen of Blackfriars Settlement, as I was going to the Young Vic later in the afternoon. I got 2 free luxury hot cross buns from the donated cakes to eat at the theatre.  :)

At 1.15pm myself and 6 others took a short walk to the Young Vic with a facilitator to collect our free tickets to watch the play Further Than The Furthest Thing. It is a complex play, which I thoroughly enjoyed watching.  :)

After the play, I walked back to Blackfriars Settlement to collect my 3 chilled meals from the fridge. I also got 2 free cakes for my son and daughter to take home.  :) They both enjoyed the cakes.

The chicken and potato curry with pilau rice was really delicious. I had one of them for my dinner in the evening.  :)

As I have an underactive thyroid gland, I am now taking Levothyroxine each day since Monday. My doctor will do a review after a month, to assess whether I am getting any side effects or contraindications from my existing medication at the introduction to this new medication.
