Hello Ladies,

I went to Gospeloke at the Blues Kitchen in Brixton yesterday evening. I only had to pay £4 for my ticket.  This was my 1st visit to Gospeloke, which turned out to be Karaoke with a live gospel choir to back up the Karaoke singers.  It was such a fun filled night. There were 2 young women in their twenties, who got talking to me and encouraged me to get up and dance with them when the DJ was playing. The evening exceeded my expectations. There was a mixture of singers, but the winners on the night, which were a male and female duo were simply outstanding. They both had such musical voices, both in tone and range.   

I bought the song choices home with me, so I can learn a few of the songs. Next time, I might get up on the stage and sing.

Hello Ladies,

I went to a sharing performance by the members of Taking Part, which is a programme run by The Young Vic. They are male and female members who are all over 55 years of age who like to create different types of performances for an audience. There was a lot of musical and acting content and spoken word. It was a really enjoyable event.  I then had a chat with one of the members of Neighbourhood Voices, who gave me the details for a short story competition.     We then had a free lunch for everyone, including the performers laid on by the Sea Containers hotel. It was a cold and hot buffet and a dessert trolley for us all to choose from.

Watty1, I am long past the stage of hair loss where extensions, toppers or any other hair piece could help. I wear a wig if I am going out of my home. I have a really large patch of almost baldness on the top of my head. 

I do still miss not having my own natural hair, but just have to get on with wearing real hair wigs. There is a lot of choice in London, thank goodness.

I had a lovely day as we met the couple we know from London and two friends I hadn't seen in a few years. We had a delicious lunch in Old Leigh and then went to the beach as the sun was setting and then to a cosy pub with a fireplace for a couple of glasses of wine.

Most of the decorating has been done now so it was nice to come home to an almost finished house. Hopefully it will be totally finished by mid next week at the latest as he has a few other odd jobs in the house to do.

I wore my favourite black and white dress and did my nails before I went out.

Great photo Wednesday. Very "atmospheric". 

A quiet day, have given myself a mini skin peel and manicure.  I'm just about to stitch my grandsons teddy back together.  Poor Teddy he does get some rough treatment and now his belly seam has come apart. 😱😂.  

Next week two chiro appts and dentist. Not my idea of fun!!!

Not been on for a couple of days - it was my birthday yesterday and we went for a chinese buffet, which was very nice!

Hair appointment is not until next Sunday, so will have to put up with my unruly hair for another week!

Had some nice presents for my birthday - daughters go me some flowers, a sweatshirt, a candle, some body shop handcare products (lemon) which is lovely and some perfume (D&G "The only one"), which I do really like.  Never tried it before. 

Am waiting for an Iceland order to come and then hopefully off for a walk!
