    #14 declaring at a measly £96.77 this month :(

Ended up having to pay for something for work/career which I can't claim back, plus topped up toll account in bulk, rather than pay weekly. So far less saved than intended. I have a few expenses being paid next month though, so that should top things back up and get back on track

I can't see the update form as yet, but will do that when it's available.

Van_Girl regarding your work expense you may want to look to see if it is tax deductible. I am not an accountant but my understanding is that if you have to buy books / resources linked to your work you can claim the tax back or if you do not do a self assessment there is a flat rate. Not sure if it works for courses etc. (Wished I had known about this years ago, I could have offset so much).
Hopefully someone on her will known more details.

    • #35 reporting in with £600 this month. Just had our little baby arrive a few weeks early so had extra expenses with a longer than anticipated hospital stay. Should make up ground later in the year.
      Congratulations on baby :)

    • Getting closer to end of month so I moved a further £500 over from our joint current account to savings and £100 from my personal account.  Also topped up holidays savings spaces as we will be booking a short break with family up soon and have to pay the balance of our Centre Parks holiday in March. Still not declaring until next Monday which is day before my pension goes in.

Thanks @Gem-gem - it's an optional expense so I'm not too sure, but will check with my accountant mother :)

      • Hi @slowlyfading I am declaring £3700 saved for January as number 8.  The update form does not appear to have been put up yet.  There are a few hundred left in our current accounts but we have three trips booked away in February, my birthday and my car insurance and breakdown  so I have topped up our car and holiday pots.

      • Is it too late to join this challenge, SF?

Planning to save £12,000 in 2023.

I've saved £601.92 so far in January but will probably have some more to add by the 31st. Thank you :)

I'll be on for around £770 saved this month, which I'm really pleased with as a solid start. Would have been more but I'm going on holiday next month so some funds have been diverted to that. Will confirm total and update the form on the 31st.

My house deposit savings plan has three prongs:
        1. LISA - A set amount goes in each payday. Aiming to hit the £4k max for 2023/24 by October.
        2. Regular saver - Again, a set amount each payday.
        3. Savings pot - This collects the roundups from my day-to-day spends, which adds up quite nicely without any effort.
