#8 reporting in with £800 for August. £500 to my Yorkshire internet saver and £300 to the regular saver. A total now of £10600 so only £1400 to target.

    Hi,

    #003 declaring £500 for August.

I have submitted the form also.

    Thanks

    Kev
  • So I'm pretty much back to square one. DH and I have got rid of our expensive finance/lease cars and used our savings to buy two middle of the road used cars. We still have some savings but nothing left that we saved this year. However we're saving a sizeable sum now we've no car finance to pay! Hoping to get to 6k by Christmas 🤞
Debt Free as of December 2020 👏

That sounds like a good use of savings.  You will save more in the long run.

Declaring £2339.72 for August due to savings accounts maturing. Next month will be higher as I have a missed SalSac pension payment due in. Looking like I'll be about £175 short of target by Dec though. I'd like to think I can make it up but honestly, all renewals are coming in higher than predicted, even though I thought I'd left plenty of slack in the pots- e.g. car and home ins are rocketing. But it is what it is, I know I'm lucky to be able to save what I do.

Just thinking - is there anyone else who could volunteer to update the spreadsheet for SF while she is still trying to get back on top of things? I'm not sure how it all works? If there was a way of transferring everyone's previous monthly updates to me, I'd be happy to get the spreadsheet up to date?

#11 declaring £1,525 for August.  With family staying from abroad longer than expected, I've spent a lot more than planned so very pleased to manage this amount.

#18 updating with £5,000 for July and £9,550 for August. Not much expenditure at the moment, so savings ticking along nicely.

#17 reporting in late for June & July (forms submitted), managed to put aside £2,533 for June and £725 for July.
July was an expensive month and I expect August to work out to be much the same.
Spent money from my repairs & replacements pot on having some work done on the roof and fixing the car's air con as well as the payments on the interest free loans for solar batteries and replacement sofa.

I have messaged SF to offer to take over as she has a lot going on at the moment. She would need to add me as an editor as at the moment I just have viewing privileges. Will see what she says.
