Saved £375 this month as had to buy clothes for holiday and also pay for European Breakdown cover.  So that makes total for the year £4,651.81.  Temp promotion ends on 15th July but there is every indication that they will extend it.
Savings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.58

#17 reporting in for May (form submitted), managed to put aside £2,186 for the month.

Spent around £4,700 from my repairs & replacements pot for replacing part of the fencing in the garden plus other gardening work.
Over the next few months I have some car related payments to make (insurance, service & MOT) and my repairs & replacements pot will drop as I've had some roof work done and will be starting to pay off interest free loan for solar batteries and replacement sofa.

The amount I've saved for May would have 2 different amounts depending if we count the Lifetime ISA government bonus or not.

  • Added another 1k for June. Honestly it should have been a good bit more but we've been spending like crazy this month 🙈

#18 updating with £6,000 for June, hard to believe we're almost halfway through 2023 - not sure where that's gone!

(edit: looks like that hits target, which means I set that a bit wrong - changed job in January, and wasn't sure what 2023 would look like. Clearly has been better than I expected!)
