Weight Loss Challenge 2025 - 30.8lbs/73lbs4 -
May I please join? Last year was a bit meh as my mum went into a care home and I broke my wrist. It was my dominant hand, so I couldn’t cook or cut up food easily. This, combined with the stress of sorting out my mum, resulted in a loss of 12 lbs. This took me to just over 9 stone and I felt so much better within myself. However, since things have settled down now, I have gained 13 lbs back on! I need to lose at least 11lbs in order to look and more importantly FEEL better within myself as all my clothes are feeling tight. I would like to lose the 11 lbs in around 3/4 months. I am going to try and walk a bit more as well to try and get fitter. I am 5’ 4 so the extra weight really shows.5

Evening,
To help with my weight loss I'm cutting out alcohol for January aiming to kickstart a healthy diet, increase my exercise and generally be a bit healthier after the excesses of the holidays. It’s almost a relief to go back to work today and to some normality (did I really say that?!?). Working from home today meant stuck at the computer however I managed to motivate myself to go out for a walk at lunch time, did 3 miles in the snow and actually felt quite energized afterwards. I need to keep this up but I am always motivated at the start and lose enthusiasm as the weeks go on, hopefully being accountable here will help.5 -

TornErse unfortunately they are right when they say alcohol is hidden calories, well done on doing 'dry January' and your lunchtime snow walk.
