Thanks Beanie - I haven't opened them, they've gone back in the airing cupboard for a bit longer as the towels in the bathroom are still fairly good. Really not sure why I have so many?!
I have also sorted my clothes mountain - one black bag for the charity shop, the rest has been sorted and all put away. I've had a bath and am chilling in my pj's for the evening now. I've actually put the heating back on for a bit as it is thoroughly miserable here today. I'm really hoping the warmer / dryer weather arrives soon, it's been such a soggy start to the year this year :(

This morning I got up and went shopping for a few new bits I needed - a new hairbrush, some shampoo, and a new pair of my favourite trousers - they are £12.99 and are baggy, silky material. They sound strange but are sooo comfy and work well with a hoody or a t-shirt. I have no idea what has happened to mine, I have looked everywhere for them for weeks and eventually decided to bite the bullet and replace them. I actually got two pairs, one black and one slate grey.

I popped into Tesco for some bread, milk, eggs and fruit. There was not an egg to be had in the place (huge superstore) so I will need to get them somewhere else later as I have them for breakfast each day.

Home now and had my lunch, off to have my nails done at 2:30 so just going to have a mooch on here til then. The wind is blowing a hoolie out there and I'm staying put on the sofa :)

My local Aldi had very few eggs yesterday, just very large on the top shelf & some large right down near the floor - I think they may have been overlooked, but not a medium one anywhere.  I would love to know how inflation is only 10%.  It certainly isn't in my world.

I totally agree Badmemory - food prices are still going through the roof. I don't mind so much on cakes, biscuits, fizzy drinks etc as they are junk anyway so just helps persuade me not to buy them, but when you can't even get basics like eggs it's bonkers.

MisterPym - the trousers are from an independent shop so I can't post a link, it is full of stuff you would find on a marketstall to be hinest, but they are just sooo comfy :) They are elasticated waist and elasticated at the bottom, really lightweight so perfect to chuck in a bag (probably how I lost the last pair). He has them in about ten different colours too, they're probably not remotely stylish but I don't give a fig about that, I luvs them :)

Poppy811 - I found eggs in Lidl when I went to get my nails done, limited to two boxes per customer, so I duly bought them which will last me another 12 days :)

So today I had to get up early to put the bins out, it was far too windy last night and our bun men come between 7-8. Then I was meant to be seeing a friend at 10 so had a shower and got ready but she text me and had to cancel, so I've found myself with a spare day. I don't want to go shopping as I'll spend money I don't need to spend and buy things I don't really need. So instead I've decided I'm going to do a 20 minute blitz - hoover and mop through, wipe the bathroom over etc, then I'm going to block out several hours to go over finances. Not the day to day bits but the bigger stuff - checking my pension, checking interest rates on my savings etc, stuff that I used to do regularly but seems to have slipped.

Washing machine is on, dishwasher is on, kitchen has been wiped down, now off to do the rest of it, I should be back around half past x

Well, I fell down a rabbit hole of cleaning ds' bedroom yesterday which meant the finance stuff didn't really happen. However his room is finally hygienic again and it even has a visible carpet :)
Today I am having my eyebrows laminated - no idea how it will go but seeing as I haven't done much at all this holiday due to the weather I thought I'd have an end of holiday treat. Other than that it will mainly be another indoor day, I'm so sick of this weather, it feels like it has rained every day this year :(
