Try not to worry BenBen - I’m sure that if your doctors were concerned, they would have called you in straightaway rather than booking you what seems like a routine appointment. Easier said than done, I know.

Morning all, half-term has arrived :)
Up and out this morning to do the food shop, £55 spent and now back home, all been put away and time now for a coffee and a mooch on here.

My plans for the week ahead are generally to chill and reset. A week off is very welcome but isn't that long in terms of getting much done, so no huge list planned, although I do have a few bits and pieces I want to get done:

    • Haircut (Tuesday)
    • Doctors (Monday and Friday)
    • Trips to the tip
    • Shampoo downstairs carpet
    • Tidy garden
    • Shampoo sofa
    • Shampoo stairs carpet
    • Compare prices and sort contents insurance
    • Sort phone contract

Morning, last night I made a start on the sofa / stairs. I have done the bottom half of the stairs, the lights wasn't great so have left the rest for today, and I did one half of the sofa (needed to sit on the other half while it was drying :), so again I need to do the rest later.

This afternoon I have a health check at the doctors, this was already booked in before my scan results. This is a general check done by the NHS every 5 years. I had one 10 years ago but didn't get one in 2020 due to lockdown. I'm interested to see how my figures compare with before I started my injections.

Today I want to start looking at some of my finance stuff. I feel I've taken my eye off the ball with things over the last couple of years; I have savings but I'm not as organised at staying on top of where to put my money etc, so need to spend some time checking stuff like that.

Morning, well the heath check went really well - bp was 115/81, weight on their scales was 9 st 8lbs, 2lbs lower than on my scales at home, plus I was wearing clothes (I weigh myself in the morning before I get dressed). My cholesterol was the best bit though, in August I had it done and it was 7.29, my Dad had high cholesterol and they told me I needed to lower it (it should be 5 or under). Yesterday it was 4.58 :):)

Today I'm off for my haircut, usually takes several hours as I'm having highlights done too. Other than that I will be popping round to see Mum and maybe a trip to the tip later.

Morning, a wet and grey day here today so I'm having a bit of an admin day. I have so far gone through various matched betting accounts and transferred the balances back to my main banking account. Likewise for my Paypal account. I've also gone through and checked my standing orders and direct debits are up to date, I've set up a couple of new standing orders into Monzo pets for vets costs and contact lenses. I've also streamlined various savings accounts and closed a couple, sending the balances into my Isa.

I've sorted the contents insurance, next stop is to think about my phone (currently out of contract), and to look at this weeks mse email and mooch on the boards here for a bit as I don't feel I'm on top of my money at the moment. I also need to put some thought into my money goals, now that the holiday is covered (whether I end up going this year or put it away for next year), I need to think about what is next. I'm thinking of a few bits around the house that I could save up for - the garden needs some work, my pension might need looking at (I wish they made more sense to me).

Morning, weekends here again and it's looking grey and miserable outside again. The usual pottering and football planned for today - the house is pretty much clean and tidy but I will flit round and make sure it's all spick and span later. I also need to nip and get some food bits. Other than that there isn't a huge amount planned :)

Another week has gone by, it's Friday, end of the month and payday all rolled into one. End of the month banking has been done and money moved to the relevant pots, I did end up with some leftover this month so that has been transferred into savings.

The house is pretty much clean and tidy so not much to do housework wise this weekend, although I do want to start sorting the garden a bit if the weather is bright. Ds has asked me to help him blitz his room, I've been itching to do it for ages but he insisted I didn't as its his room. Anyway, he's finally asked me to help him get it back to normal, so I am looking forward to doing that.

Other than that this weekend I need to collect a prescription, hopefully a friend is fixing my car for me too, currently I'm walking everywhere.
