Ds ended up having to work so has asked to postpone doing his room for now. Yesterday I went to the pharmacy but their machine wasn't working so they couldn't do prescriptions, I'll have to try again tomorrow after work.

This morning I have spent an hour in the garden, I've cut back a load of brambles and a few random overgrown bits, the garden waste bin is almost full already. I don't enjoy gardening whatsoever but I think if I keep doing half an hour here and there I can get on top of it gradually. Once it warms up properly I can get the jetwash out and blitz the paving and decking.

I've put a chicken in to roast with some veggies too. I'm up to date with the washing, the housework is up together, life is good. This morning I decluttered my paperwork box, I go through it every now and then and cull old stuff, it wasn't too bad but at least now it's all sorted again and is another area decluttered and under control. My best mate is moving house in the next couple of weeks and her house is full, its made me think about if I was to move at some point how much stuff I wouldn't necessarily want to keep or take with me, therefore the more I can chip away at the better in case I do move at some point, but also it makes staying on top of the house much easier.

    Morning morning!

Friend came round last night to fix the car, needs another part so will be back later today to do it. I'm desperate for it to be done, it's been nearly two weeks now and I need it! :)

This morning I need to go and collect my prescription, I went last weekend but their computer wasn't working so they couldn't dispense anything and as I haven't had the car I haven't been able to get there after work, so will walk this morning and hopefully get it this time.

Other than that it's the usual housework, seeing Mum, a bit more in the garden and football.

Morning, car was fixed last weekend and have really appreciated having it back. Work was fine this week, no major stress there. Went to the pub quiz on Thursday and won a bottle of wine in the music round :) I also did an online focus group and got £50 for that and £30 for a follow-up survey / task.

This morning I have done the food shop and put that all away. No real plans this weekend, will see Mum, walk the dog, do some more in the garden and the usual weekend stuff.

  • Happy weekend! How did your health check up go? You said you were worried about your liver results and I've been hoping it was all ok.

Hope you get to relax and enjoy some sun shine today or tomorrow!

Thanks Alison, I had a general health check (unrelated to my liver etc), which went very well. I also had my appointment re. my scan, liver etc, and it was basically a waste of time. She asked if I'd seen the results on the NHS app, I said yes, then she seemed a bit annoyed that I'd kept the appointment, and basically read the app out to me again. She has prescribed me folic acid and said we'll redo the blood tests in 4 months. I have a hospital appointment in May re. my gallstones, they've said they aren't doing any further tests re my liver. I had further blood tests this week which have come back fine. I've had one futher gallstones attack since then, managed to get paracetamol in asap which helped.

Forgot to mention I qualified for the £50 payment from Nationwide this week, so a nice bonus coming my way over the next few weeks.

  • It's good they don't seem overly concerned and good that your recent blood tests are clear. Gallstones are evil, I'm glad you managed some relief from the paracetamol.
Hope you've had a good weekend, back to it tomorrow! ( I also work in a school, not too long until half term!)

Morning all, loving the spring weather so far, it feels like the march of lockdown where we had a beautiful start to the summer, fingers crossed we have the same this year. I have stayed on top of the housework this week so the place is pretty much up together already, obviously there will be the usual bedding change etc to be done but if someone unexpected was to turn up right now the place is clean and presentable :)

We have two weeks left before we break up for Easter, my plan is to do ds' bedroom in the holidays, it needs gutting and re-doing - the carpet needed replacing when we moved in and having been here now for 8 years it is long overdue. His room was set up for a 13 year old boy, he is now 21 so it def needs an update. He still has his single bed so I do need to swap that out for a double, it needs decorating and generally a complete refresh, so today will be spent trying to figure out a plan and figuring out costs and where the money will come from.

  • Wow, 8 years already. I can remember you trying to sell your flat! It doesn’t seem that long ago!
