Sounds like a brilliant way to spend January, BenBen! Well done on the weight loss, that's really impressive. I'm considering coming off of the jabs now too but not sure whether to just stop or reduce the dose gradually. I'm loathed to spend any more money on them at the moment.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

Well somehow January has been and gone, super quick this year and I quite enjoyed it, so will def be repeating the chilling January theme next year
This morning I have been and had the car cleaned, and also had the windscreen wiper blades replaced. Food shop has been done and put away, one load of washing done, now having a quick coffee before I potter with the rest of the housework before an afternoon of football.
End of month banking revealed I managed to have £340 left over, this is being squirrelled straight into the holiday fund which I will update soon but that is nearly done now.Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Morning all, bedroom has been cleaned, bed stripped and remade, bedding is in the washing machine, coffee and toast consumed. I'm off out for a roast dinner in the pub at lunchtime for a friends birthday, then need to pop and see Mum, other than that I have no plans for today.
I went for a blood test on Thursday and got the results back yesterday on the NHS app, (some are fine, others not great), I also have a scan on Tuesday, they think it's gallstonesI did ask if it was because of the injections and they said no, gallstones take up to ten years to form. Sudden weight loss can trigger an attack but so can being overweight, so it would have happened anyway and they are happy for me to continue with the jabs. The 5 main factors are: Female, Fat, over Forty, Fertile (hormone changes), and Family history; so i tick most boxes! I've had 3 attacks so far, let's see what the scan shows.
It does mean I need to speak to the insurance company for my cruise to see if they will insure me, hoping I won't have to postpone itOn that note, I now only have approx. £70 to find to cover all the costs of my holiday. If I don't go after all then it can sit in a savings pot until next time.

My friend was waiting for the gallstones op and we was going on a cruise - they added £400 to the policy to cover them - ouch ! She’s now had it out but as it’s less than 1 year ago still added about £75 to the policy !Sealed pot challenge 822

Morning all, I had my ultrasound scan this week and got the results back on the NHS app last night. I only knew they were as I had an email saying I had been booked a doctors appointment, which made me panic. Anyway, the basic summary is that I do have small gallstones. the largest is 6mm. They have also found 2 lesions on my liver, they think it's haemangiomas which are non-benign tumours. So I have to wait two weeks for the doctors appointment, which will tell me the results that I've already read, and tell me what happens next. Lots of googling suggests that will probably be an MRI scan to confirm they are what they think, then either nothing happens or they may just be monitored. Fingers crossed it's nothing more sinister. Trying not to overthink at the moment but it's quite hard not to. Other than my brother and a couple of close friends I haven't told anyone else, so if you know me in real life please don't mentionMortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Oh good grief benben! Fingers crossed for good news. My daughter had gall bladder problems last year and they also found she had an aneurysm between her stomach wall and pancreas and lesions on her liver. The aneurysm was repaired thankfully but she still needs her gallbladder out. I know it’s hard not to worry but you’re getting sorted now. My daughter is fine now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I had my gallbladder out privately as my attacks were very frequent, very severe and the waiting list during Covid was over 18 months. Best thing I ever did, I hadn’t realised how poorly I’d been feeling for so long.2
