I'm getting to think the same @beanielou.  I'll give them another couple of tries and if they get cancelled again I'll give up.  I only bother with Morrisons bags as all the others are places like Greggs, Costa etc

Well, as it’s now Monday - this is my last day off. We had a gorgeous lamb dinner yesterday for NYD, everyone enjoyed it.

Watched a good film on Netflix called “1408”, based on a Stephen King story. It was very good I thought.

@bubbs what ice cream did you use above please?

    Speak soon.

We took a week off of the plan to enjoy Christmas and was back on plan from Thursday last week. There has been a gain (on my home scales) but we have until the 11th for that to come off and some has gone already.

A quiet NYE with not quite 2 glasses of Cava. I saw it in from my bed as I overdid things somewhat over Christmas physically and my body was in revolt/on strike. Today has also been a bed day but at least I now have some speech and I can move a little bit.

We have discovered that we really like the SW pulled pork from Iceland, we did that Thursday ish with lettuce leaf cups, a small portion of sticky rice (1 syn), raw onion and for me, some mushrooms. It's a bit expensive at just over £4 but I would definitely buy again as a treat from time to time.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Morning all and suspect most people are now back to being on plan.  DH is off to play golf shortly and later on I'm going to pop down and see my friend once I've done a bit of hoovering and tidying up.

@SingleSue - if you've got a slow cooker you can quite easily make the pulled pork yourself, perhaps this is something you could try on one of your good days, I appreciate that you find it difficult to cook at times but the sauce only takes a few minutes to cook before putting over the pork in the SC.  The recipe says to sear the pork but quite honestly it doesn't make that much difference so you can get away with just putting the pork straight into the SC.  It works out more expensive in the first place to make it but depending on the size of the piece of pork shoulder you buy you can get quite a few meals out of it to freeze.  When you reuse you don't even need to reheat as you can eat it cold in a WM roll, pitta or WW wrap or even have it with chips and pickles on a plate!

Also don't worry about putting on over Christmas a lot of people do but as long as you're back on plan then it will come off just as quickly as it went on!  Good luck for WI on 11th - I'm sure it will be gone by then and more besides.

@bubbs - forgot to say how nice your Christmas cake looked.  It's another thing I don't eat a lot of but have to admit I made the SW last minute Christmas cake this year and had a small piece of that.  It was nice but definitely not really worth the syns!  Didn't get the rest into the freezer quickly enough so quite a bit ended up in the bin even though DH ate quite a few pieces in the time it was still edible.  It definitely didn't like anywhere near as nice as yours though!

    Today's plan::

    B - toasted cheese sandwich  - HEA2/HEB
    L - smoked salmon, prawns, salad - P; S
    D - spag bol - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have some water biscuits and blue cheese later (it needs using up!)

    Have a good day everyone.

I do have a slow cooker, alas I rarely have the time to use it unless it is on one of my days off (as in, not having to work and/or be with mum), it was used lots during the first lockdown as I was always here, on my days off, I struggle to do anything at all as I've pushed through to get through the days where I can't really rest....it's complicated to say the least!

I'm also awkward, I can't leave the slow cooker (or washing machine, oven, tumble dryer etc) on when I am out of the house or asleep.

    I'm a lost cause really aren't I?

I'm not too worried about the gain, it was more important to be able to relax and enjoy Christmas and mum would not have been best amused if we had sat there being restrictive....and I do enjoy some Christmas pudding with cream.

Scales are looking a lot better today, almost back to my pre Christmas weight.

    Morning all,

We are going to SILs today from 12oon for 'nibbles'. Her DH is a chef but he is currently signed off with pleurisy(!) so surprised she's still having us over tbh. I am going to have a good breakfast and have planned the SW creamy chicken and leek recipe for tonight as expect the nibbles will be beige.

Good to see you @Matron_Midge and don't worry about the gain - you will get that off soon enough. Hi to @Arkers too  :) and @SingleSue - I love pulled pork too but like @joedenise I tend to make my own. Appreciate that you have worries about the slow cooker though x

DD and DS2 still here for at least 2 weeks @maman so back to shopping and cooking for 4 although DS2 gets fed when he works at McDs and DD isn't always here, so it's a bit hit and miss with my meal planning.

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, 1 x wm toast, satsuma - P, 1/2 HEB, S
    L - 'nibbles'!!! - syns
D - SW creamy chicken with leeks, carrots, peas - 0.5
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - ??

    Have a good day all

I've just taken a look at the SW pulled pork recipe, even on a good day it would be a tall ask (standing and simmering) but I'll give it a go at some point if mobility (and time!) allows.

Bubbs - I agree, we made the decision that we would enjoy it and felt in control enough to know that we would be able to go straight back on plan afterwards, which we have. Yes, we could have stayed on plan and be further forward but I think I prefer having some treats, being relaxed for a bit and enjoying Christmas. It does feel a bit strange though, I usually join a group or start a diet after Christmas and have it all sorted before the next one, so to be actively losing weight before Christmas is a new one on me. I was a little erm at first about it but soon got into the swing of Christmas...oh boy did I get into the swing of it but I enjoyed every single mince pie, every bit of Christmas pudding and yes, I even had some crackling from the pork and I loved every bit of it!

I feel no guilt and we made the transition back to being on plan with no issues at all, although it was a bit of a shock standing on the scales last Thursday and seeing a 4lb gain but that is down to less than 2lb now.

@maman that's good to know, I always found it a struggle deciding between milk and cheese, and splitting it never felt like enough

Will have Wed as my official weigh day so will be signing up then. In the meantime can someone remind me how many oats make up a HEB? I'm hoping it's still 40g as that's what I had this morning. Would also love a reminder on semi skimmed milk and reduced fat cheese HEA allowances as that has completely slipped my mind.

    Thanks!
