Thanks for the new thread @beanielou. Your post about the bao buns made me laugh. Would love to hear this as the M&S ad voice over

I will be batch cooking today however need to rearrange the freezer to fit the food in.

Well done on losing 0.5lb @bubbs.  Amazing for this time of year!

What are you batch cooking today @VALM?  I'm trying to only buy what I actually need at the moment as only got 3 weeks before our holiday.  Been to the butchers today to get some of his low fat sausages and took all he had left as will be a couple of weeks before any more get made so I've definitely got enough to last until then.  Also needed to pop to Morrisons as needed more eggs - we seem to get through masses of them.  Suppose it doesn't help that I use half dozen when we have scrambled eggs!

Fab loss @bubbs maybe proves you need to have more syns 😁 unlike me who had a 4lb gain!  Glad I went though and definitely back on it. Dinner at mum’s tomorrow and it will be on plan, pudding might not be but depending what it is I might not have it. They love anything with lots of nuts and cream which is not my thing.

Laughed at your egg comments @joedenise. I work with someone who only uses one egg to make an omelette! Whatever floats her boat but I’m at least three eggs 😂

DS2 is off out for dinner and partying later so can please myself for dinner - probably make some tomato sauce and pasta.

Happy new year when it comes, wishing you all health, wealth and happiness in 2023 x

Hi, I’ve bought the PON Meal Planner and I’ve made the chicken noodle soup recipe contained in it. I’ve also made a spaghetti Bolognese. My store cupboard is jam packed so I’ve needed to get back to it.  I’ve made veggie versions for my daughter too. Have some chicken and tofu marinating so I can make a fakeaway Bhuna to freeze for next weekend. We are having takeaway tonight and a pork belly dinner tomorrow so will be back on plan from Tuesday.

Well done on your loss @bubbs and hope you have enjoyed your delayed Christmas dinner. 👏👏👏

I think @Jellybaby could be right. Your new year's resolution should be to use more of your syns. 😊

Commiserations on your gain @Jellybaby. I'm sure you're not alone. I saw a lovely Boden skirt in the CS yesterday which might have fitted me before Christmas. ☹️ I'm feeling enormous. 😉

You sound really motivated @VALM. I'd be interested in how the bhuna works out. I'm always looking for a good curry recipe.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, baked beans (F), bacon and fried egg (P)
    L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad bits (S)
    D- HB steak (P, S), SW chips (F), green stuff (S)
    Syns - chocolates✔️ wine✔️ Who knows? 🤣

Welcome @cherry_22 good to have you with us x

Well done on the loss @bubbs x Commiserations on the gain @Jellybaby - I gained 3.5lb. I did pay today. Thought it would be a normal group but only a drop in session.

The group is relaunching next week and unless something goes badly wrong and I gain 4.5lb I should get my free club 10 week. There’s a new book with a 6 week countdown so will go for that I think.

Had a good breakfast and lunch. Have just had a couple of crackers and some cheese as we won’t be eating until 8pm and I was starting to feel nauseous. No drinking for me tonight as it’s rubbish weather here and I’d rather get home safely.

Have a very happy new year everyone.

Hi everyone, hope its ok to join you all for 2023

I have followed slimming world before many years ago, lost around 3 st but over the years it has crept back on and got to the point where I'm almost at my start weight again. I'm very much not enjoying that tight clothes feeling so something has to change.

I am undecided as to whether I'll be going to a group or joining online or simply just going it alone but I am sure I will figure out what will suit me.

    Happy New Year everyone! x
Sorry @cherry_22, I missed your post earlier. Welcome! 😊 Not sure how long ago you last went to SW. It might be worth just joining for the introductory talk as a refresher and new books and then see how it goes. If you decide to go it alone, just ask for any syn values as most of us have access to the site. Not heard good reports of online membership but it probably suits some.

Could have been worse @Coxy11. 🤔 I think we're all gradually getting back to plan after Christmas.

I put Bolognese in the SC today, planning to do more swede and carrot mash tomorrow while I'm prepping dinner.

@maman - don't know if it's the same everywhere but our consultant doesn't do a new member talk any more just tell people to listen to it online!  No idea if it's any good but I think it's a bit of a cop out myself.  Think I'd feel a bit short changed if I was joining now.
