  • Well done on all the losses!

Bit of a disastrous day, we tried to go for carvery, booked a table only to arrive at 6pm for the carvery to have ran out, and no meat as that's all cooked on the carvery too?? Only burgers, scampi and pizzas available so we left.

Syns today no idea, not horrific but could have done better but it's fine and I'm okay with it.

Got home, to find that having asked my children to put the shopping away, they never and two packs of skinny sausages have sat in a warm kitchen for more than 9 hours. I'm not sure if I'm more cross that it's £5 straight in the bin or that they didn't follow one simple request - I don't ask much of them either.  The sausages may well have been fine, but wasn't in the mood to take a chance

Oh dear @annabanana82, what an awful day! Don't let it derail you. I think I'd have been furious about the sausages too but better not to take the risk. ☹️

    Morning all,

Bit of a damp start here this morning. I’m WFH. Boss was meant to be on leave today but cancelled at the last minute as SHTF at work yesterday. Will see what today brings….

Well done on your run @annabanana82 – I’m looking forward to getting back into running when the weather is better! I too would be annoyed about the sausages!

    Great loss @maddiemay x

Well done @SingleSue and son on your losses. Please don’t be disappointed with 2.5lbs! I think I only lost that once right at the start!!

At least you can see where the gain came from @joedenise. Nowt more annoying that being good all week and STS or gaining – ask me how I know…

Well done on your 1lb loss @cherry_22 x

    Nice NSV @beanielou 😊

2 portions of smoky turkey chilli into the freezer last night and I took the trouble to label up the boxes from the weekend too. DS2 is back from uni for Easter this evening but not sure if he’s eating with us. DH dealt with the food shop delivery yesterday. I didn’t order much fruit as I’ll be away from Saturday and DH/DS2 don’t eat it. Now craving fruit so will pick some up at lunchtime.

    Food will be:

    B – poached egg, tomatoes, 1 x wm toast, grapes – P, S, ½ HEB, free

L – pasta, parmesan, salad leaves, tomatoes – free, HEA, S

D – pork and apple burger, sweet potato wedges, salad leaves, tomatoes – 1, free, S

    HEA – milk

Syns – Alpen bar 3, plus 1 so 4 total

Quiet on here today, hope everyone is enjoying themselves. 😊

Well done on labelling the freezer meals @Coxy11, both @bubbs and @joedenise have had freezer surprises this week. 🤣

I cut up the beef from Asda at last. We have 3 joints and some cubes. The Sainsburys gammon can stay in the fridge for a while as it has a long date and not sure when I want to eat it.

I need to do my meal plan before shopping tomorrow. I did think of going to WI today but thought maybe just 10 days back on plan since my holiday wouldn't be enough.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA 1 milk for drinks
L- ham, egg (P), LO hash and cornichons (F, S)
    D- meatballs in tomato sauce (P, S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns - 0

@SingleSue great losses for you and your son. and you also @cherry_22 guess your OH feeling pretty miffed.
@bubbs the home sounds excellent, my DM was in a wonderful place for her last couple of homes too.
@annabanana82 I do hope you have had a better day today.

Daft question of the day - what is the texture of Baked Oats like? I have only seen photos of it in a dish showing the top surface not sure whether to give it a try or not.

Yesterday I made several servings of beef stew for the freezer and going to do Chicken curry tomorrow, must work out the Syns per single portion and write on the containers

  • Thanks @maddiemay I think I may be a little hormonal at the moment which really doesn't help! Today has been quite a lazy day.
Bit hit and miss on the food today but within syns just... I shall be trying to fit in a few runs, but think I may leave weigh in until Thursday so I can enjoy the Bank Holidays with my family.

I really like the baked oats, it's more of a cakey texture, unless they're undercooked and it's a weird crispy porridge 🤣
I like mine with blueberries, but carrot, cinnamon yoghurt and a few raisins were also rather nice.

Some people blitz the oats which I imagine gives it more of a cake texture
