Hope you enjoyed your special Easter cheesecake @bubbs. I'm happy that you boosted your syns. 🤣

I did make some swede and carrot mash today. Still more to do but it's a start. I also tried the chicken curry that was featured on Jamie Liver's £1 meals programme. That's for tomorrow's dinner.

Where's the lovely sunshine gone?🤔 At least it's stopped raining. 👍🏼

I'm taking it easy, planning to sit and read this afternoon. I do need to sort out the freezers again. I was lucky on Friday and lots of things I know I'll use (sausages, chicken thighs and breasts, mince) were 30% in Aldi off so I just squirrelled them away wherever I could find a space.

Allowing for some guesswork I've got about 20 syns left for the next 3 days but only plans to use 2.5. I'm thinking of going to WI this week but not 100% sure yet.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, fried eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), potatoes (F)
D- chicken curry (P,S) with HM pilau rice (F)
    Syns-0

Rain has cleared and we’ve now got sunshine but it’s cold and very windy.

    Having a similar day - and dinner🤣 - to yours @maman

Staying with my parents for a few days due to mum having a fall and trying, unsuccessfully, to get them to understand they need some help 🙈🙈 That’s wrong actually, they understand fine just point blank refusing help. Food has been a bit all over the place but hopefully on plan today and I’m really looking forward to a long hot shower and my own bed tonight!

    B - toast HEB , jam 2 syns
    L - lentil soup
D - chicken curry with boiled rice

Home again after the weekend away.  Had a lovely time with plenty of walking.  Internet was really patchy which was why I didn't post.  Was a case of good when I could and careful when I couldn't!  Had jacket and beans for lunch on Saturday when out with some salad and bit a dressing after a fry up for breakfast.

Today's been a bit all over the place but back to plan tonight with a cottage pie and veg.  Need to check freezers to see if I need to get any shopping for the few days we're at home but don't think we do although going to pick up a couple of lamb legs from the butchers in the next town as they still had the 2 for £30 when we came past today - not enough parking space to risk going there with the motorhome!

First load of washing done and hanging on the line where hopefully it will be virtually dry in a couple of hours (as long as it doesn't rain again!) as it's blowing really well.

Hope your mum's OK @Jellybaby after her fall.

The Easter egg cheeecake looked lovely @bubbs - not bad for something within syns and good that you're making use of more of them!

  • Hi all,

After a wet start the sun is out here but so very windy! Lazy day today, I read Margaret Miles-Bramwell (the founder of SW) autobiography and that's about it.

    Meal plan today:

B: blueberry baked oats 1 syn

L: 2 Ryvita crackers (3 syns), 2 light laughing cow triangles, (partial hex a) FF coleslaw, beetroot. Strawberries and Watermelon. Muller light yoghurt 1/2 syn.

D: cottage pie, sprouts, free gravy

Total planned syns so far 4.5 syns
