    Hi everyone,
Thank you for indulging me in my low mood yesterday - I do appreciate the support xx
The wedding venue is lovely with sweeping views over Happy Valley (not THE happy valley) and the gardens are going to look amazing in June (next year) - only Spring bulbs currently obvs. DIL's family were lovely and very chatty and the lunch was really nice - I had mushroom risotto.
DS2 was okay when we got home - he'd taken his cousins to see Mario movie. He met a school friend at the pub last night and ended up staying over. Means I won't see him before I head off on my hike but at least I know he's okay-ish.
Rucksack is packed including two very small mini egg eggs for tomorrow. I am taking a HXB for each of us for breakfast and will get a train picnic, hopefully from M&S. I really fancy their orzo salad and some fruit. Dinner tonight is at the hotel in Lockerbie. Last time we were there they did a nice beef casserole with lots of veg so hoping they'll be something similar.
Hope everyone has a lovely BH weekend. The sun is shining here and it's meant to be okay-ish in The Borders/Cumbria with 40% chance of rain most days. We have waterproofs and gaiters so all good :)
Will hopefully update a few times along the way.
    Take care all
    Coxy xx

  • Morning all!

Hope your hike goes well and the weather is kind to you.

Started the morning with a 2 mile run, my phone picked up 25 minutes of running all by its self so I'm taking that as a win. I'm averaging a 12.5 minute mile so an improvement on my park run times. Plan is to focus on my 2 mile runs for the next week and hopefully see a PB at my next park run.

Food really hasn't been great this week, been over syns more often than not, feeling hormonal and emotional this week. But hopefully when I say line drawn I mean it today.

    Plan for today:

B: carrot "cake" baked oats 2.5syns
L: speed fruits and yoghurt - free
D: SW sticky chicken, rice and stir fry veg -free

Want to stick to 5 syns today

Happy hiking @Coxy11 we have glorious weather just now but supposed to change Tuesday - in Scottish speak glorious means sunny, bright but still chilly 🤣

@bubbs it’s a mystery lol you are so on plan, I’ve no idea why the gain!

I lost two which I’m chuffed about and got slimmer of the week. Spaghetti will feature for the foreseeable as I came home with three packets 🤣 (plus a bag of penne). Not complaining, it will all get used.

Well done on your loss @Jellybaby 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. The SoW prizes sound really useful and long life. I've been using penne and spaghetti a lot more recently as they're far better value than some shapes.

No idea where that gain came from @bubbs. I know you'll just keep on with the plan you do and hope for the best.🤞🏼 Your dad is doing brilliantly. Obviously his new place understands about his special diet unlike the disaster when he was first in the hospital.

Hope the hike is going really well @Coxy11. Thinking of you. 😊

Well done on your running @annabanana82. I managed 16 000 steps yesterday but that's a stroll compared with you! 👍🏼

Didn't get to post on Saturday as had a busy day. I did stick to plan for a weekend (wine, half Crunchie and some mayo and dressing on a JP) but quite OK with that.

Not doing much today. I do have swede & carrot mash to batch cook (from Easter veg wars) but may leave it to later in the week.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs, ham (P)
L- beef and vegetable soup (P,F,S)
D- roast beef (P), SW roast potatoes and parsnips (F), Speed veg (S)
Syns- weekend wine, gravy 4, horseradish 1, yorkies 1.125🤣

  • @maman my fitness tracker registers 2000 steps as 1 mile, so I've not been close to that many steps for some time!

I did manage another 2 mile run today, but my legs are very heavy now, might have to take a rest day tomorrow...

Lunch at my mums today, should be another day on plan again keeping my syns low - need to be in control today and avoid the usual temptations there!
Will also step on her scales to see what damage I've done this week.

Sorry about the gain @bubbs it's frustrating when you have no idea where it came from
