@2Scratters sorry to hear that life is hampering things. It's the end of the week and the total is in for me....£18.93! I had found I was making things too blooming complicated in calculating things as I was using some of the balance to pay down debts, but am now going to just total each week and stick the whole lot into a higher rate savings account once i have totalled it.I feel like a Pelican - everywhere I look there's a bill staring at me!LBM: March 2014 Current CC debt: £2048.29/£3666.53 (55.86% repaid) Current Challenges:Tilly Tidy: £2087.67/£2500 (83.50%) 3 to 6 month emergency fund #75: £3653.62/£6000 (60.89%)2

@Divingmad great result, it all adds up.
Just getting to get money savings together is the hardest thing to do. Once it is started this is a great "little" addiction that is permitted
It all leads onto other things bigger and better remembering the debts we are clearing didn't happen overnight.
There are times when "saving money" is too far away (in our heads) but doing the small bits is still (savings) adding to that which in reality is still "saving money".
When you look at an outstanding amount do you ever want to pay the oddment off to round it down? I am talking small number here i.e £1 odd or even just the small change? in time building up to £5 than then to £10 perhaps.
This is very much a juggling act of working on all of the things at the same time.
You can do this.

@2Scratters it does indeed add up. I am quite surprised at just how much accumulates doing small bits each day 😀
I think I have been soooo focused on trying to pay the debt down, that I concentrated on too many small things to try and satisfy the 'need' to reduce the debt pile. But now I have had a think and come up with a plan...do the tidy up each evening and at the end of the week and total the amounts. Anything over a whole £5 or £10 will then go to the CC, the rest will go into a higher rate savings account to build up.
Let's do this!

@Divingmad that sounds like a great plan. Double ended sword. I look forward to seeing your numbers move around.
Seeing your EF target has prompted me, as we are just short of £1000 for 2 years this has taken us 4 years to get to this point. I want/need to retire early by just short of 2 years I feel absolutely burnt out. I will focus on that for now then I can save a little more especially in these times savers are getting a little bit more. I could simply take it from the savings but as it is not essential to do this I'd rather that money work a little harder for us.
My Tilly Tidy for June is £44.05
I'll move that to a 3.8% saver account

@2Scratters ah retirement....i have another 15+ years before I can retire! I keep thinking of whether I will have enough to retire on, so in the background I have been digging out my pension stuff so need to sit down and see how it all stacks up.
Well, here we are at the end of the week and month....
my total for the week stands at £12.96, so that's £10 to the 3.8% saving pot and £2.96 to the CC.
Total for the month stands at a quite remarkable £66.84.

@Divingmad moving forward - thanks for the prompt I have just moved some money that needed paying into my current account. So rounded down a generous £4.80.

Morning Peeps,
Hope you have managed to start to find your way around the new layout. I am a little confused by some bits of the changes but I am sure it will start to get better/easier for us.
I have closed my paypal account and that will reduce and slow down any purchases that may have been too easy to spend unnecessarily which can't be a bad thing eh? Just need to take the app off my phone and another tidy up.
Tilly tidying had a chunk of £10 this morning, that was very brave of me, just because it was there and will again slow down spending so am taking it as a double win.
Have a good weekend

Afternoon all,
Hope you are all well.
It's the end of the week and my total is £20.87, so that's £20 to the CC payback fund and the remaining £0.87 to the CC

Morning Peeps,
As we have all landed in the time of DC & DGC finishing school for the summer hopefully we will be filling times with experiences of varying kinds all budget dependant.
When using a debit card and you have arranged for the bank to move the small change/round up over for you or you manage to do some yourself add it up each week. If you choose the cash method to keep a watchful reign on the pennies, do just the same there, move the small change or round up again then place into some where to count later.
I have now closed my paypal account and will be using my chase bank account that pays me back on any spends.
Hope you all have a great summer.
