got a letter "Notice of Transfer of Proceedings": This claim has been transferred to the defendant's county court for allocation. On receipt, the file will be referred to a procedural judge who will allocate the claim to track and give case management directions. Details of the judge's decision will be sent to you in a notice of allocation."

Do i need to do anything now or just wait?

All this info and advice is in the NEWBIE sticky, as I am sure you know by now but, as the Notice states, just wait.

Have you signed the petition linked in the post below. Please do if you want to tell Govt to improve Private Parking practice. Ask family, friends and work colleagues to sign too. Once your signature is confirmed use the shown link to 'Contact your MP to let them know you have signed this petition'. Our MPs are the ones to make this happen. 🙏
    Good luck with your case.

so finally got the witness statement letter... DCB tried to call us a number of times and finally we took the call; they asked us if we intended to resolve the case outside the court and we said no and that we'll see them in court... they seemed OK with that. Now I have to prepare the witness statement

this is my story defending the case:
There were two families in separate cars (xxxx HYP and xxxx GHF) going to the Chesil Beach on 4th August 2022 around noon time. The defendant was not the driver. Both families reached the beach around 1500 hours. Defendant (along with family and another family in their own car) reached the car park, managed by Euro Carpark (which is not well maintained, had no appropriate parking slots for vehicles and clear parking signs were not displayed at proper places) and parked in the parking area under a tree. Both the drivers then proceeded to the ticket machine but there was a long wait, as there were many people using the machine. Both the families got their tickets issued around 14:58 after paying GBP 5 for five hours. The signage near the machine was in very small fonts and none said to keep your ticket safe for at least two weeks incase there is an enquiry of discrepancy. Also there was no ticket office incase one needed any assistance because the machine seemed faulty as both drivers had to try 2-3 times before a ticket was issued. Both families displayed the tickets on the dashboard of their respective cars, spent five hours at the beach and then returned in due time. The defendant's driver discarded the ticket as soon as they left the beach as there was no need of the ticket anymore. The other car's driver luckily forgot to discard it.

After 2 weeks both the drivers got a letter from the Euro Carpark that a ticket was not purchased and displayed on the dashboard (for which there is no proof). The other driver immediately replied by sending a copy of their ticket (Exhibit 01), preserved in their car, and got an exemption letter from Euro Carpark. The defendant unfortunately did not have it but e-mailed Euro Carpark with the other driver's parking ticket and explained both the whole situation. But the claimant replied that it was not true and that the defendant had not purchased the ticket and sent a few pics (Exhibit 02) of the defendant's car (of entering and exiting) but not of the dashboard where the car was parked. The defendant even appealed the case but of no success. Then a series of letters from the claimant and DCB legal started coming asking the defendant to pay a fine which has finally been quoted as GBP 284.28.

OK. That's not the full WS though.

Read a few by doing the forum search that the NEWBIES thread suggests (ALWAYS ONLY SEARCH FOR NEWEST. NEVER 'BEST MATCH').
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
