Love the finished sampler @Charly27 and the new project is just lovely.

I went to Ally Pally yesterday. HSC weren’t there (too busy with their online business and subscription boxes maybe?). I did get a crochet kit to make a slip over (for me) and two Cross Stitch Guild designs. Also some charms to embellish designs and a couple of ceramic Christmas ornaments for SILs for Christmas.

Went to Hobbycraft when I got home to get the felt backing and some ribbon for the city scapes. I will need to machine stitch two pieces of felt together - that’s my first challenge! 😳

Thanks for the compliments. I’ve stitched the roof on the little welcome sampler whilst watching Strictly. Be nice if this stitched up quickly.
Sounds like a worthwhile visit to Ally Pally Coxy with time to spare for Hobbycraft on the way home. Win win.
Cant wait to see the PL series on display. I’m on the lookout for a medium sized hoop. I seem to have misplaced mine! I ought to unsubscribe from everything then I won’t be tempted.  :D

Finished this, only a week late for my sisters birthday, now to get it washed, ironed and framed. I hope she likes it. Its bigger thsn i thought when buying it, but it hasnt taken as long as i thought it would tbh.

I have the threads, aida and pattern for my next project, somethig for my daughter for xmas. Lots of blocks of colour. But am experimenting a bit by changing the colours for one bit. Fingers crossed it works!

DaL that’s beautiful. I’m sure your sister will treasure it.

  • Progress pic. This has been lovely to stitch, the layers have really helped. Not sure on one of the blues, but too late now! There will be a cat ontop of the washing, I am going to attempt to stitch it in the colours of our cats, it will be a test! I am hoping to be able to turn it into a door hanging for her. Again something new to try.

I really like that DaL. Like the princess and the pea but for cats!
Been a busy time this end so little stitching done. We have bought a house and completed on 13th that requires a substantial amount of work and also my part time role has been full time the last fortnight! Update so far.

DAL, i love the world map, the colours are great and the new stitch looks fun :)

Charly, congrats on the new house, very appropriate new stitch too

    Coxy, ally pally sounds great

I have finally completed page 3 of Seascape, page 4 is only about 50 stitches wide, however i think i used the aida the wrong way as i don't have alot of spare fabric. I measured the other side and it was 4cm bigger oops, hopefully it will be enough to make into a cushion.

I have done the cat. I have sort of made the colours up as i wanted it to look like our cats. I think it has worked ok. So close to finishing, needs a little bit of backstitch and some red at the top and the border. Should be done by the weekend, but my thumb is sore so may need a day off.

  • Cat picture for reference ! They are seal tabby ragdolls, so sort of strippy and cream/brown.
