Finished number 4 and just about to stitch 6 and repeating the right hand border. It’ll be a repeat of the numbers 1-10.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. I have finished the cross stitch on this piece. Its for my mum for xmas. It needs a whole load of back stitch, I will do that closer to xmas I think. I need to go back to my cherry blossom and get the final quarter done, hopefully by mid september that will be finished. I ordered some more charts i liked the look of, need to find some fabric to do those on as i want a different background colour. I might use a 16 count rather than 14 as well.

Hello everyone, gosh you've all been really busy.
Loving the cats update @daisy_1571 - have you now finished it?
The sampler looks amazing @Charly27 - I do love the HSC designs and they are very therapeutic to stitch.
That's a lovely colourful design for your DMum @Drawingaline - well done on the finish (barring BABS of course)
I have had a few sporadic sewing sessions over the last month. DDad has been here this Summer (since end of April) and flew home on Wednesday. Unfortunately he had some medical issues in the last 10 days of his stay, so DSis and I had to attend various appointments with him to find out what the issue was. He flew home against medical advice and as you can imagine, it's been very stressful to deal with. We are waiting for him to see his preferred medical advisors in Cyprus next week.
I'm not sure if I mentioned that my sewing machine was serviced and cleaned up like a new pin. I'm hoping to use it this weekend to practice some ideas. Nothing fancy, just basic stuff. I also have a freebie pattern for a crochet granny square which I'd like to adapt into a bag. As usual I have very limited time to do this!
My VR offer letter came yesterday and I have 2 weeks to decide whether to accept the terms. If I do accept I will be leaving on 30 November. It's about 6 months net salary, so there won't be a mad rush to find something else. Would be nice to take December off to have a break.

Have a good weekend all

That looks lovely coxy. I have been powering through my cherry blossom, we sre off to London tomorrow and then I am super busy next week working snd then moving my daughter from her halls into her new house. Then off to camp for the long weekend. May take a new small project with me there, I will have time to stitch, but don't want to take a larger project with me.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Lovely updates.
DaL the cherry blossom is stitching up beautifully. That’s going to a very Japanese inspired corner when it’s framed and put up.Coxy sorry to hear that such a lovely summer with your dad was marred in the last week. What else could you do? People make these decisions for themselves sadly don’t they! Harberdashery shop is coming along well. Good luck with the big decision about VR. Six months feels like a reasonable time to find something else. Does it have to be at the same level or can you afford to reduce hours and responsibilities? Looking forward to seeing the sewing machine projects, you’ll soon get confident.
Daisy I find it difficult stitching when my mum is around but she’s super crafty and has high standards so it’s not as relaxing as it could be. I’ve stitched half of the little dogs for number 6 but not too much this weekend so far as we’ve been out a lot. We did our first walking tour of Norwich yesterday (I’ve lived here for 26 years!) it was great and I clocked 13,000 steps.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler.
